The Annual Lighting of the Trees Celebration

Fairhope’s annual ‘Lighting of the Trees’ celebration will hallmark the arrival of the holiday season on November 17. Thousands of shimmering lights donned upon the tree lined streets will instantly brighten up the streets of downtown Fairhope this Thursday evening. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with musical performances by the Fairhope High School Band, Baldwin County Youth Orchestra and the Eastern Shore Choral Society. Then at 6:00 p.m. sharp, with the flip of a switch, operated by the Fairhope-Point Clear Youth Rotary Club the moon lit downtown will become a magical wonderland filled with sparkling cheer!

Each year a distinguished person or service organization is recognized and the ‘Tree Lighting Ceremony’ is dedicated to them. This year’s lighting ceremony honoree is The Fairhope-Point Clear Youth Rotary Club. The Rotary Youth Club is recognized for the outstanding job with their after school and summer programs.
