Its not something we like to think about, but property crime is something that effects millions of people each year. What can you do to protect your home?
Keep all doors and windows closed and securely fastened.
Secure sliding glass doors with a metal rod or piece of plywood in the track and install vertical bolts.
Always lock the door to an attached garage.
Make your home appear occupied by using timers on lights, radios, and televisions, even when no one is home.
Install outdoor lighting.
Never leave clues that you are away on a trip. Have a trusted neighbor collect mail and newspapers while you are away.
Keep shurbbery trimmed away from entrances and walkways. They provide a hiding place for burglars who need a only a minute to break in through a window or door.
Organize a community watch program to help protect your neighborhood. An alert community is a safe community.
Home security experts say most burglaries occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Here in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina, we have had rain and thunder and lightning since around ten o'clock this morning. I can not remember ever having thunderstorms for this long of a period ever before. Hope this is on the way out of here, because I am affraid it may rain the Easter Bunny out. Or he may have to come in a boat.
On this Good Friday I would like to wish each and everyone a very happy Easter. This is the time our family celebrate the risen savior, and am very thankful thet God sent his son to be born in a manger, live on earth, and die on the cross for our sins, that we may have life everlasting.
