We cordially invite you to attend the Route 4 series HOLIDAY OPENING: Friday, July 3rd, 5-8pm, at Artworks at 7th in North Beach, Maryland. Come enjoy a night on the Bay, Calvert County style! Visit Artworks at 7th to see the Route 4 landscapes, take a walk along the boardwalk, check out the shops and the Farmers' Market, sit down for great food at the local restaurants, and cap it off with fireworks on the Bay!
The celebration and opening continues Saturday, July 4th, when the artists will be back at the gallery to talk to friends and visitors about the Route 4 series.
The show at Artworks at 7th continues through the month of July. The series, Route 4, continues throughout the year, with new work being shown each month at Artworks, and then also, at Patuxent River Appreciation Days, at Artsfest, and at the Cafe Gallery at Annmarie Gardens in November. We welcome all artists to join us and celebrate Route 4 in their artwork this year!
A percentage of the profits from this series will be donated toward land preservation efforts in Calvert County.

I have always been fascinated by older homes. As I drive through my somewhat rural county, I am intrigued by the older homes that are abandoned and maybe forgotton. I am curous about the history behind these hidden treasures. Imagine my surprise when I opened an e-mail this morning to find an announcement of the Calvert County Historic District will be telling the History of the oldest part of Wilson Rd and Ponds Wood Rd. If you can make this program, I am sure it will be amazing.

2:00 PM Ages: 10 and older Fee: $10/person, $8 Seniors (Age 55+). Join us for a guided tour of Point Farm, estate home and retreat of the late Mr. & Mrs. Jefferson Patterson. Built in 1932, this colonial Revival brick house was designed by noted female architect Gertrude Sawyer. Great News in Dunkirk. Six home went to closing in May. Inventory is at a recent low of 59 homes. The average sold price is up 8% from the same month a year ago.
