BIG LEAGUE DREAMS - MANSFIELD, TX
BLOG UPDATE - February 28, 2009
It is with great sadness that I inform you that Princess Haley Hart has passed.
"Princess Haley went to get her wings today. She passed away quietly with her mom and dad by her side. She had a long hard battle that she just could not fight anymore. Thank you everyone for all the support and prayers throughout this difficult time and for times to come. Princess Haley will be our little Angel in Heaven looking down on us and she will be DEEPLY MISSED.

Beginning at 4:15, there will be a powder-puff football game to benefit little Haley Hart, the 4 yr old diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer known as Wilms' Tumor in December 2007. This hits very close to home, as
her grandfather is the assistant manager at my office, CENTURY 21 Judge Fite in Mansfield and her mother is a dispatcher for the Mansfield Fire Department.
The Big League Dreams concept was developed by Jeff and Rick Oderkirk, former baseball players, who had a dream to build a family-oriented park that would give average people the feeling of playing in the major leagues.

The first Big League Dreams opened in 1998 in California and there are seven others around the country.
The "Field Of Dreams" includes small-scale replicas of current major league ballparks, and four replicas of former ballparks....New York's Yankee Stadium, Boston's Fenway Park, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and Chicago's Wrigley Field. Former ballpark replicas include The Polo Grounds and Ebbets Field, which were in New York, Crosley Field, which was in Cincinnati, and Sportsman's Park, which was in St. Louis.
Big League Dreams will operate, maintain and provide security for the park. The company will share revenue with the city OF Mansfield.
Hours of operation: The park opens at 5 p.m. during the week and closes when the last game ends. The doors open earlier on the weekend depending on game schedules.
Concession Include: Soft drinks, beer, wine, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salad, popcorn, candy, chicken wings, nachos, chicken strips.
Ticket prices: Adults, $3 and they receive a $1 token to use in the restaurant/bars. Children 12 and under who are playing are charged $1 and get a free $1 token for the restaurant. Nonplayers under 12 get in free.
