Update to my previous post......

The mayor of Mansfield answered calls for his resignation.

In a speech Thursday night, Barton Scott announced he will resign as mayor.

The recall petition was started after the mayor's sexual predator ordinance was defeated on a technicality.

May 2008, there will be an election to determine the next mayor. Until then, the Mayor Pro Tem Michael McSpadden is in charge.
