With spring starting to come into full force, the flowers are beginning to bloom and the temperature rising, it made me realize that it is about time to go visit one of my favorite places, Brookgreen Gardens. It is located on over 551 acres and has several different points of interest. It showcases sculptures from around the world, intertwined with beautiful bouquets of flowers both local and exotic. There is also a zoo which features animals found locally in the low country. Below are a few pictures:
One of the things I really enjoy about visiting Brookgreen is that your pass is good for a week, so if you can't conquer the entire area in one day, you have plenty of time to come back!

I am originally from Reading, PA and moved to Myrtle Beach in 1998 after graduating from high school. Shortly after moving to the area, I attended Coastal Carolina University where I majored in Resort Tourism Management. While working on my major I did several interships with restaurants before finally getting involved in Real Estate in 2001. I teamed up with my father from 2002 to 2009 to become The Blanton Team and during that time we were the Top Sales and Listings agents in our office 6 years straight. Some of my designations included ABR, E-Marketing Specialist, CMRS, CMAS, CMMS, CMIS, REALTOR.
In March 2008 I joined activerain as a member and quickly rose through the ranks of South Carolina. I learned a lot in my first year here and was able to contribute many things. I look forward to what this position with Activerain holds!
Anyone who has followed me for a while knows I am the proud father of a beautiful little girl Isabelle. She has quickly stolen the show on Activerain as the youngest member and from time to time makes appearances on daddy's blog. She has stolen daddy's heart along with my beautiful wife Katherine.
