Great Place to Eat in Winston Salem, The Old Fourth Street Filling Station

The Old Fourth Street Filling Station provides a great dining experience in downtown Winston-Salem. Located on Fourth Street in West End, the historic building used to be a gas station in the 1930s and has now been renovated into a restaurant. The restaurant features a beautiful and comfortable patio- the perfect place for relaxing with friends and family while you enjoy great food and service. The inside dining room also offers a cozy dining experience, especially with the fireplace running on cold winter days. The restaurant also includes a full-service bar inside. Their menu offers something for everyone, including soups and salads, sandwiches, steaks, and a variety of entrées. They carry an impressive wine list as well.

The Filling Station is open for lunch and dinner and also has a popular Sunday brunch from 10am-3pm each Sunday. My favorite time to eat at the Filling Station is right after dark in the evenings, when the patio is lit up with candles and soft lighting. A great weekend evening in downtown Winston-Salem could include dinner at the Filling Station followed by a carriage ride with Camel City Carriage. Camel City Carriage offers horse-drawn carriage rides through downtown on weekend nights and conveniently passes right by the Filling Station on its route, so you can hop right in after your meal. The Filling Station is also close to the Dash, Winston-Salem’s minor league baseball team’s ballpark.

Thanks to Janet Sykes our client care specialist for writing this for me. She works at the Filling Station, which is one of my favorite places to go in Winston Salem and show sponsor for Real Estate Radio.
