Jim Chapman Has BIG News!!!

Jim Chapman

Jim Chapman Communities has acquired two new communities in West Cobb County, both of which plan to re-open on February 1st. Many circumstances in Atlanta real estate have caused builders to back out of projects and cease building all together, but here is Jim Chapman Communities not only succeeding with their standing communities, but taking on new endeavors. What great news for the housing industry!!

Even bigger news is that for the first time Jim Chapman Communities is opening a non-age restricted community, Concord Mill. They are creating a community that provides many of the appealing aspects of their signature active adult communities, like maintenance free living, and opening it to homeowners of all ages. The other community, The Haven at Lost Mountain, is for those aged 55 and better.

Homes in both communities will offer hardi-board exteriors with stacked stone accents, custom wood trim, 12-foot trey ceilings, great rooms with gas fireplaces featuring decorative wood mantels and master suite baths with large his/her vanities with full-length mirrors and ceramic tile showers and flooring. These homes will also provide ample space to entertain, and include such features as kitchens with breakfast bars, Whirlpool appliances, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, hardwood flooring, two-car garages, large inviting front entries and side patios for grilling.

More details on each community to come as they get closer to opening.

The kitchen of a Jim Chapman active adult new home in SugarloafJim Chapman is getting involved with the local community and helping to educate them on the current mortgage industry. Throughout September, Jim Chapman Communities hosted Meet and Greet programs at three of its five metro Atlanta active adult communities to bring together current and prospective homeowners to meet one another and learn about reverse mortgages. Jim Chapman Communities teamed up with their partners at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage to offer the educational events on creative mortgage programs for those ages 62 and up.

“Using a reverse mortgage to purchase a home ensures that the homeowner never has to make a payment for as long as they live in the home,” said Bob Glezen, Reverse Mortgage Specialist for Wells Fargo. “It allows those who are 62 years old or older, to bring a down payment to closing and use the reverse mortgage for the balance of the financing.”

While a reverse mortgage program may not be right for everyone, it can be a great option for those who want to begin living a maintenance free lifestyle now without struggling to sell their current home in a less than ideal marketplace. “Jim Chapman Communities prides itself on offering their customers solutions to problems they may face in the selling of their current home, said Jim Chapman, President of Jim Chapman Communities. “We see the importance of informing prospective homeowners about the different financing options available to them and encouraging them to not give up on the sale of their current home in this tough economic environment. These events were very informative and I certainly learned a lot about this exciting form of financing and how it can potentially help those customers wanting to start living the Jim Chapman Communities lifestyle today.”

Way to go Jim Chapman! It's so important to reach out to home buyers and make sure they are as well knowledged about the home buying process as possible. You obviously enjoy helping people shop for a new home and it shows through your devotion to the community as well as your expectional product.

Jim Chapman, President of Jim Chapman Communities, Inc., personally received his Residential – Basic Contractor License in June from the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors. This license enables Chapman to act as the Qualifying Agent for Jim Chapman Communities, Inc. and any of its current active adult projects.

“Effective July 1, 2008 the State of Georgia has required that all residential building permittees be licensed. Georgia is one of the last southern states to require that its residential contractors be licensed. This is a step in the right direction for the State of Georgia as it will help us better maintain the quality of our contractor’s work and the ethics behind their business practices,” said Chapman.

Having operated as a residential contractor in Georgia since July 1996, Chapman was able to apply for his license under the exam exemption privilege. He applied prior to the original application deadline of December 31, 2006. After requests for further information last fall the license was finally issued to Chapman in June.
