House backs homebuyer tax credit extension

House backs homebuyer tax credit extension.

Another step closer. Remember, it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!

We (Realtors, Buyers, Sellers, our economy) need this extension. Thank you NAR for your work on our behalf. Keep sending those "call to actions" and we will respond!

Too often we complain that no one is doing anything, without doing any research to see if that is true. I realize that I may be in a minority when it comes to being proud to be a NAR/WAR/SAR member. I see where my dues moey goes and I believe it is working for me and my clients! Do I agree with everything? Of course not. I do believe in the strength in numbers and a unified front.

Keep on your Congresspeople and Senators. We need this bill extended AND we need HR 4899 passed for the interim USDA funding. DON'T GIVE UP!

Lawmakers consider home tax credit extension

Hallelujah! Please give us this lord and we won't ask for anything, ever again! (Well, not for a while, at least.) There are SO many loans tied up in processing, not to mention those in the USDA Rural Development pipeline. The number of buyers that would qualify, but cannot get closed by May 30th is staggering.

Lawmakers consider home tax credit extension

"The National Association of Realtors estimates that about 180,000 homebuyers who already signed purchase agreements are likely to miss the deadline."

Thirty days would be enough for the conventional and FHA loans that are in the pipe, USDA is another story. A.) We need Congress to fund it. B.) USDA will need to process the backlog. AND then C.) The lenders can get Docs out to close those loans...90 days? Should work.
