Hickory Dickory Dock

I was talking the other day to a friend who lives in England. He volunteered that his family wouldn't be watching the Royal Wedding as they were going to be out of town.
He is an amateur photographer in his spare time, takes great images and shares them with me.
This is the original clock in Exeter Cathedral that the nursery rhyme was written about.
There is an old door to the room (before it was electrified) that houses the clock. Back then they used animal fat to grease the clockworks and that attracted mice. They had a cat on the premise that got paid 1 penny in food when on duty to catch mice. He had his own entrance at the bottom of the door.

I wonder if my cat will get a job this summer..........
Lakeside, California's best lake is Lindo Lake, and is one block from my office, Main Street Realty & Loan.
One of the best things about going to work is the view I get to see every morning. We have one of the best San Diego County Parks only one block away.
Lindo Lake was dedicated as a public park in 1886
The park sits back one block from the main street (which happens to be named Maine Ave) in Lakeside, California. It's the recreational center of our community. It is a wonderful park with a walking trail all the way around the lake. It has a softball field, horseshoe pits, fishing, tennis courts, library and lots of birds. The bird watching alone is entertainment. I personally have never seen such a large bird nest's as the one I saw at the lake. (I think it was a blue heron)
It's a great place to picnic, sit, walk, feed the birds, take the kids, or attend a Farmers Market.
They have a facility that you can rent for meetings, parties and it seems like a wonderful site to have a wedding. It would provide a very dramatic background with El Capitan Mountain looming beyond.
Directly across the street from the lake there are multiple Lakeside Condo Complexes to choose from.
When you are ready to buy, we are your local Lakeside Realtor.
Whatever is going on in your life, 10 minutes at this lake will feel like a mini vacation.
And it's one block from my office.......
One of my favorite things to do in our town of Lakeside is go to the local Farmers Market.
I live in San Diego County. We have the best weather, in my opinion, year round. In East County is a town called Lakeside. This is where I live and work. Once a year this town has a Rodeo and boy do these cowboys know how to throw a party!
Reason:
1. April 22- The Lakeside Optimist's start the long weekend off with their Famous BBQ. Located at the Fairgrounds from 5-8.
2. April 23-25-Lakeside 46th Annual Rodeo. All the cowboys and cowgirls will be hanging out here all weekend. Get yer boots on and come join them.
3. April 24- 7-10am. Lakeside Historical Society Western Days Breakfast. Pancakes!!!! Yes!
4. April 24 -9:30 Lakeside Western Days Parade. This is fun for kids of all ages.
5. April 24 -4-7pm The 1st Annual Beer tasting and Car Show at the Cafe 67. After you quench your thirst the Rodeo is just across the road.
All of these activities are within walking distance of each other. So consider this your invitation to have a great weekend in Lakeside. For more information you can view on the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce's website.
