Jeanine Metts

Retiring in Tampa Bay area

Coming from Wisconsin 18 years ago, I understand why many flock to Florida for a winter hideaway. Every vacation I took in Florida included the Tampa Bay area. I asked myself "What would it be like living here full time?"

One day in February, I was on the Milwaukee downtown interchange and I hit a patch of black ice. My Honda Prelude spun around like a helicopter in the snow and ice taking up several lanes. When the car had stopped, I was facing on going traffic. Miraclalously, I did not hit anyone. All traffic stopped while I slowly did a Y turn shaking and taking deep breaths. THAT WAS A SIGN THAT I WAS READY TO MOVE TO FLORIDA! As I crawled in the right lane to work, I made up my mind, there and then. I was moving to Florida.

Clearwater Florida waterfrontThat August, I was living in my new home in Tampa. The smile did not leave my face for six months. Even 2 years later, when I cross the Courtney Campbell Causeway that connects Tampa to Clearwater with it's 10 miles of bridge over Tampa Bay, I have that warming feeling of how I felt when I first discovered my paradise.

If you haven't been to the Tampa Bay area, it is worth a visit next vacation. Even if you have been here and want to know more about Tampa's many amenities, watch this video. http://consumerrelocationservices.com/Clients/MettsTampa.html

Since then, I have lived in several areas, Tampa, Odessa, Holiday, Palm Harbor and now Dunedin. Visit our website at DunedinHomes4Sale.com or search all available homes if you are starting your search.

WHY IT’S A GREAT TIME TO BUY

Words from one of our Mortgage Experts............... Jeanine

Start your home search www.MettsGroup.com

Home buyers need to purchase “TODAY” in order to take advantage of the extremely low interest rates and home values. If you think rates won’t go back above the 6% range, think again! Even 6% interest rates are considered low historically. Rates always move faster up than down. Look at the example of a $200,000 loan amount at 4.25% vs. 6.25%. That’s almost $250 more per month that you could be spending on something other than your mortgage.

EXAMPLE:

All payment examples below are Principal and Interest only, no taxes or insurance (PMI) are included.

$100,000 $150,000 $200,000

4.25% $495 $738 $984

5.25% $552 $828 $1,104

6.25% $616 $924 $1,231

Are you aware that 2nd home mortgage interest rates are the same as a primary home?

The down payments are higher but the rates are the same.

Down Payments can be as low -0- down with VA or USDA for primary homes. Only 3.50% down using FHA when buying a primary home as well. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions.

Palm Harbor Real Estate

"Jeanine Sparks (Metts) is tops in her field when it comes to dedication and customer satisfaction. We provided her with some ideas of what we were looking for in Palm Harbor and she was relentless until she found our new home. My husband and I are extremely happy that we decided to contact Jeanine via the internet. It was the easiest purchase and closing that we've ever experienced.

Several years later we called Jeanine to sell our home and purchase one closer to my husbands work. Once again, we were very happy with the results."
