I am 19 years old, young, energetic, and full of fire and determination. I have been doing real estate since I was 18, just over a year and a half's time. My entire life I have wanted a career helping people.

Recently an opportunity to do that has created itself, but there is minimal guidance. There is no one telling me what to do, or even how to do it. I am on course to be an Emergency Medical Technician for Mason County Fire District 2, here in my hometown of Belfair. It has been quite the process. You start out as a volunteer firefighter, but I want more. I want to be able to help directly and provide medical services.

Today I signed up for my EMT class, paid and full, and I have not even secured a position in the department yet; However, I have faith that everything will fall into place, and that by the time this class starts in September, that the department will have me in business.

The point being this, I know what needs to be done, I know what classes I need to take, so I have taken it upon myself to venture on my own and do them.

Often in life, you have to be your biggest motivator. Being in real estate I am sure you are already self guided. I look forward to being an EMT, and actively working real estate. Our EMT schedule at Mason District 2 is 48 hours on shift, 96 off. For me personally, this is a perfect opportunity to have two solid careers.

So as I continue to learn, this techy stuff gets so intricate. As I am on the hunt to learn as much as I can about Search Engine Optimization, I am trying to dial in my behind the scenes details. What I want is simple.

When people search: Belfair Washington Real Estate or Belfair Washington Homes For Sale... I want them to be able to find me, Josh Murphy, some how some way.

WHAT is my best way to do this? Does adjusting meta-tags keywordshelp dial this seo?

Do you need to be careful when using the meta-tag? If you know what you are doing, help us out. Some of you guys know so much about this, and I know I ask a lot. But help us out.

What is your advice when using Meta- tags and related search engine facilitation.

What are YOU doing to market yourself?

So there you are, you just got your real estate license. You just signed your contract with your broker of choice. Your new business cards just came, the broker did promise. Shoot you may even have your first set of sign riders wtih your name on them, just awaiting your first listing to hang them.

Hmm... Now what?

Your fresh on the market, how are you reaching your clients? Are you scrounging floor? Are you making a list of EVERYONE you know to send them a letter? Are you cold calling expireds? Are you blogging as much as you can, using "your town" and "real estate" as much as you possibley can, and posting it to localism, hoping people find you?

Recently, an associate of mine told me to simply make a list of EVERYONE I know. Ive decided to give this a try.

As I am learning, personally, your sphere is probably your easiest place to start. Tell people what you are doing, let them talk you up to everyone they know.

This is something i need to execute a little more thoroughly, but my friends and family pitch me a lot of my business.

So Mr./ Ms. Big time Real Estate agent... Where DID you start? Where would you start, if you started TODAY?

If you happen to be in the area of Mason or Kitsap County around the 4th of july, find a body of water and enjoy the show!

One thing i truly love about our area is that every year on the Hood Canal, there is a professional Firework show put on in the town of Hoodsport. The show is absolutely amazing and you will be glad you viewed it.

Whether you be on the fresh water lake or the salt water, I can guarantee you there will be a show to watch. The famous Hoodsport Firework Show will be on the 4th of July this year, and I must say the best place to view it from is down the North Shore in the town of Tahuya, or in a boat on the Hood Canal itself.
