How On Earth Do You Squidoo!?

So there I have it, ive created my profile, and I am trying to get this site down. It doesn't like any of the links I apply, and all of my photos appear to be to large. But I am determined.

Since ActiveRain is most every ones go to page for information, what is your take on Squidoo? I am excited to get familiar with it. It seems to be a very resourceful site that you could publish a lot of information for the public eye. Is this site an asset to your on line business?

1. How on earth do you use it.

2. Is it worth you taking the time to explain it?

3. Have You had positive results from the site or am I wasting my time?

Thank You!

Your Profile May Be Your Best Tool

Don't take your ActiveRain profile for granted, this could be your best tool. Most areas are starting to see a small real estate spike in activity, maybe its a great chance for you to go through your profile and dial in all of your content. Content is KEY when targeting a specific market, and we all know that. Consumers on the Internet are like traffic on the freeway, you want them to take YOUR exit to YOUR website, profile, anything you can provide that lets them know who you are and what you do.

Though Google and such search engines pull from your blog, they also pull from your profile, your profile is your ultimate opportunity to dial in your key words, and not make yourself sound ridiculous for repeating them.

I understand most of you have your profiles completely set, and you are at the top of your local search results all the time. But there are a lot of people with some pretty bare profiles. Spend some time, spruce it up.

Target your market, tell them what you do!

If I Said "Ferry"... Would You Know What I meant?

I'm sure you all have seen one, but how many of you have actually been on one?

For us, its a regular thing, we drive to Bremerton, hop the ferry to Seattle, and go play!

One thing I love about the beautiful Pacific Northwest is how unique we are, For example, there are major bodies of water that separate some of our major towns. The solution, a Ferry Boat...

Just thought I would share.

Bremerton- Silverdale Ranked #1 Cities in Nation For Real Estate Growth!

Here in Mason- Kitsap County, we heard this news earlier this month.

It is projected that the Bremerton- Silverdale area will experience a growth of approximately 5.22% annually for home prices, for the next ten years! This news is the most positive thing we have heard in a very long time. With this growth, we are predicting a rise in stable jobs and increased home values.

When I heard this I thought it had to be to good to be true. Just to give you an idea, this is the area at topic...

It is being published every where and the numbers are in.

"Here are the markets in the United States in which home appreciation is expected to grow handsomely in the next decade, according to U.S. News & World Report. The markets are followed by the projected annual percentage change in home prices from the fourth quarter of 2008 to the fourth quarter of 2018:

1. Bremerton-Silverdale: 5.22 percent

2. Glens Falls, N.Y: 4.71 percent

"It's nice to see that the real estate prices are coming back up here. It definitely does say something about the state of our local economy." - Bremerton Sun

This news was announced at our Windermere Peninsula Properties' meeting last week and we all felt a slight glimpse of hope for our area. This is Local MEDIA, publishing POSITIVE STATS!?! WAHOOOO!

Mason- Kitsap County Real Estate Sales Agent

In These Times It's Back To The Basics.

Floor time is a gift from your company to you.

The top dogs spend anywhere from 5-30 thousand dollars a year promoting their name. Hmm cool. But a company like Windermere may spend 5-10 Million a year promoting their name.

As a consumer Most of us recognize this name.

Now if I had one that said

Josh Murphy Real Estate, you would have no idea

Which would you rather sit by, your cell phone that you have posted on a few websites, threw in a few real estate guides, or the phone line of your company that is on every sign that you list and your fellow agents, not to mention the name itself that is promoted infinitely.

You want to be where the buyers and sellers are right? Let them come to YOU. I know you're busy, so am I. Floor time can be used very constructively to work on your deals as you would be anyways.

Put the time in, it is what is working!

Many agents are finding success by snatching every bit of floor time possible. It shouldn't be thought of as a punishment at all. You are absolutely crazy if you are turning floor down. In my opinion of course.

Good Luck!
