I am so excited about what will happen in my town this weekend, I wanted to share it with you all!

I was asked by my office to represent Windermere Peninsula Properties in the annual Polar Plunge held here in Allyn this weekend. Now what on earth could that mean? Jumping into the cold waters of Case Inlet? Your correct.

The Polar Plunge is a very important event for our local Boys and Girls Club. Participants get pledged from the local residents and businesses to jump into the Case Inlet in Allyn Washington, and all proceeds go to benefit our Boys and Girls Club. Isn't that just great?

I definitely am excited to be apart of this, I love being involved in our community here in Mason County. We have some very generous people in our area that are paying a lot of money to watch us be cold for half an hour.

With the election finally over, and things starting to settle into a routine, I am so excited to see what this year has to offer. I spoke with a lender today, to find out that the 100% USDA Loan is still available in my area. That made my day.

My first time buyers DEPEND on that loan. That loan is what keeps me in business right now. We have also noticed traffic within our office picking up and referrals from old clients starting to come through. I am really starting to think this may be a good year.

If you think about the housing inventory for just a second... How long will it truly be an issue? I know here in Mason County, no builder in their right mind would be putting houses up to sell. That right there is vital, do not add to the problem.

Mason County currently has only 47 New Construction homes COMPLETED on the market under $400,000. I personally don't think that it will take to long to get those out of our inventory, and I think that once we do, our resale market will greatly increase.

What choice do we have but to remain positive?

Another renter converted to homeowner in Mason County

I got the long awaited privilege to hang my SOLD sign, after waiting for the deal to close before doing so, as to not Jinx it.

It was a fairly smooth deal, that closed in 31 days. The listing agent,Valerie Spaulding, and myself, worked very hard on this deal, and met our goal of closing it before the end of the year.

This sale was another first time home buyer, and I was just as excited as could be to be involved in the purchase of his first house at just under $200,000.
