I was in an accident today

Man it was raining hard out today and on my way back home I was waiting on the Turnpike to exit off onto Commerical Blvd. While waiting there I got hit from behind, so hard that it pushed me so far ahead. Luckily I was a good distance from the car in front of me or I would have slammed into it as well.

I was so shaken up. Out of nowhere this happens! Luckily as well I had my seat belt on or I would have hit the steering well. I got out to look at the damages, but the medical in me went to see if the driver in the car was ok. He turned out to be ok, but scared like I was.

We called the police and waited there for them. As I was waiting I was dealing with clients who called me on a contract that we wrote up and having to make sure we make a great offer. Thanks goodness we agreed on what to offer, he signs the contract and emails it back to me. On top of that, his brother is also buying a home with me and had to set up a meeting at the office with him tom to sign his contracts as well.

Had to call my broker and get the conference room assigned for it, he was laughing because here I am in this accident and I am still working with these clients. All while still waiting on the FHP.

My husband came out to the accident site even after I told him not too. It was raining so bad I felt there was no need for him to be in the rain as well. But I was to see him when he pulled up.

When my clients found out that I was just in the accident they were asking why I still was taking the calls and managing to deal with this. Its in my nature to make sure all is done right.

I'm ok, but shaken up and scared. I know tom I will be sore because of the RA and have an appointment set up to see my doctor before my meeting with them.

Glad I was driving a truck though and it had a hitch that pretty much saved the back bumper. The car had damage to the front of his car.

I will post the pictures tom.

Halloween Trick or Treat

So I got an email from a fellow rainer last night saying Halloween was going to suck with a picture in the email. I must agree with her on this.

halloween

But at the same time, luckily we don't trickor treating within the neighorhoods. I take the kids to the local mall. The Coral Square mall located in Coral Springs. For the last 4 years that is where we go. I get there early enough before the big kids show up and leave early.

They usually start the trick or treating around 4-4:30. So we usually would get there around 3:30. It's what we plan on this year as well. If you would like to attend here is the info, and after the mall trick or treating they are planning a Monster Mash. Not sure what that is, but sounds like fun.

Looks like Wells Fargp wins for Wachovia

So last week I wrote a post that Citigroup and Wells Fargo were going to court over Wachovia. Well it looks like Wells came out on top with the negoiations. But that is not stopping citigroup from taking Wells to court over it. Seems they are still quite pissed off about this deal. Who would blame them?

Here is a small clip from the article

NEW YORK (AP) _ Wells Fargo emerged as the apparent victor in the battle for control of Wachovia bank Thursday night, after rival suitor Citigroup

While Citigroup said it plans to seek $60 billion in damages for breach of contract, it has decided not to challenge the Wells Fargo-Wachovia deal in court.

Wells Fargo said late Thursday it had ended talks with Citigroup and was moving ahead to acquire all of Wachovia's banking and other operations. It said the deal would not require aid from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. or any other government agency.

"We're pleased Citigroup has abandoned its efforts to interfere with Wachovia's planned merger with Wells Fargo," said Wachovia spokeswoman Christy Phillips-Brown in an e-mail to The Associated Press. "We look forward to completing our merger with Wells Fargo, which we have always believed is in the best interest of shareholders, employees, creditors and retirees as well as the American taxpayers, and it imposes no risk to the FDIC fund."
broke off talks with Wells Fargo and federal regulators but vowed to have its day in court.

Federal Reserve trying to help out

Looks like the federal reserve is having to step in to see who gets Wachovia Wells Fargo or Citigroup. The sagga continues.

NEW YORK - Wachovia, Citigroup and Wells Fargo, in consultation with the Federal Reserve, have agreed to a standstill of all formal litigation activity.

The agreement is scheduled to end at noon Wednesday.

Federal Reserve officials Monday were negotiating with Wells Fargo and Citigroup in the hope of getting the parties to come to some sort of agreement.

Early last week, Citigroup agreed to buy Wachovia's banking assets for $2.1 billion in a deal brokered by the FDIC. On Friday, Wells Fargo said it agreed to buy the bank for $15.1 billion without any government support.

Citigroup Inc. said Monday it filed a complaint in New York Supreme Court against Wachovia, Wells Fargo and the directors of both companies seeking more than $60 billion in damages for interfering with the bank's planned takeover of Wachovia's banking operations.

The complaint, brought Saturday and filed Monday, seeks more than $20 billion in compensatory damages and more than $40 billion in punitive damages from San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Co.

Guess we are going to have to wait till Weds to see what happens. Keep and eye out and I will keep you updated!
