August 1st - First Day of School

August 3rd - First Fundraiser Begins
It didn't take long before fundraising for school projects began, but I wasn't expecting the 3rd day of school. I put the fundrainsing material to the side, but now their isn't much time left. I looked at the paperwork last night and realized it ends on Thursday on August 18th. Actually we must have the paperwork turned in on the 18th so we actually have until Wednesday to complete any fundraising activities. I looked through the fundraising catalog last night and picked out one item I liked the best. It is a crockpot cookbook in the shape of a crockpot with 40 recipes with full color photos for only $10.
Kamron and I went to WalMart this morning to try and sell some Crockpot Cookbooks, but after 5 minutes of no results we quickly gave up on plan A and went to plan B - knocking on doors. We knocked on a couple dozen doors and 4 people came to the door and all 4 purchased a cookbook from Kamron, so plan B was a big success. Knocking on doors was fun, but hot in the Georgia sun. Hopefully we can get back out there tomorrow and sell some more cookbooks. We hope to sell 15 Crockpot Cookbooks.
Plan C is to use some Internet advertising to help with his fundraising. If you go to www.charlestonwrap.com before August 18th and purchase any items and use Student ID#784960 when submitting your order then Kamron will get credit towards his fundraising activities.
Funds from the fundraising will be used towards purchasing new playground equipment for Shirley Hills Elementary School.
If Kamron sells 15 items then he can attend the school's BMX Stunt Show.
Thank You for your Support!
Summer Camp has 30 Open Slots - Trinity Woods Macon GA - Things to do in Macon GA

Kamron is still enjoying his Summer Camp at Trinity Woods in Macon. He doesn't like being picked up too early, and wants to spend as much time at Camp as possible. I'm pretty sure tomorrow is bike day (every Thursday) and Friday is remote control car day. It is a little extra work packing his lunch, extra clothes, and bathing suit every day, but he truly enjoys each and every day. There is still time for anyone to sign up for the final two weeks. http://www.trinitywoods.org

Foreclosure Homes in Warner Robins GA

Many homebuyers in Warner Robins GA are searching for foreclosure homes. Foreclosure homes can be a challenge to purchase, but not impossible. I have helped several customers buy foreclosure homes. Competition is the main factor making buying a foreclosure home difficult. Here is some principals that I believe are common when buying a foreclosure home in Warner Robins GA.
When a bank puts a home on the market they get an appraisal/BPO to determine market value and then list it for full price. Banks are much like any other seller in that they will try to get as much for the property as possible. The banks often have a preset schedule of when they are going to reduce the price until it sells. When the banks receive offers on these homes, they do not usually negotiate very much because they already have preset minimums for predetermined time frames. If the home does not sell they will reduce the price at preset intervals, but other potential homebuyers are also watching for those same price reductions. When the price is reduced mulitiple offers are often placed on the property by multiple buyers, making it difficult to get a contract on the home. Purchasing a foreclosure home can be a frustrating process.
Bank owned homes are sold As-Is which means the banks do not wish to make any repairs, and are already priced respectively.
Foreclosures can be a good deal but a higher reward usually means more risk.
I will be happy to discuss foreclosures, risks, and how to minimize those risks in more detail.

Trinity Woods Summer Camp, Macon GA is great place for kids to spend the summer.
Summer camp is half over but still plenty of activities still on the schedule for July. I was surprised on how organized everything is and each day and week's activities change. This week theme was Olympics and next week is Soccer.
I knew we couldn't keep Kamron inside the house all Summer and he needed to get outdoors and run off some of that energy, so this was the perfect match!

Camp is organized and set up on a weekly basis, so you can choose which weeks your child attends camp.
Trinity Woods has a new Camp Director, Lee Hopf. Learn more about Lee on our "Meet the Staff" page. Please contact Lee directly via email at campdirector@trinitywoods.org or call 478.227.0555.
