DAY 1
April 2, 2010. DAY 1 (Boy this is exciting!!!) Why not head over to the Varsity Theater in Canyon to see "How to Train Your Dragon" The Varsity is locally owned and the folks that run it are friendly! Ticket prices are $4.00 for adults! Tough to beat!
I know it says 365 Things to Do In Amarillo, TX but we want to include the surrounding areas as well since most of these areas depend upon the Amarillo market to some degree and they support our economy by coming here for goods and services!! Besides, there are some really neat eating joints in some of these surrounding towns!
Well, the challenge has begun! Hope you enjoy it and I hope you come back every day to see what we have up our sleeves next! We'll be scouring the landscape to find fun things to do and great deals to share with you! If you run across some neat deals at local fun spots, let us know so we can share with the rest of the folks! Don't forget to tell your friends about this page! They may have some great ideas they would like to share as well!! I think we can all benefit from this fun experience!
Ok, so I stole the idea from another Realtor in Vancouver, WA, but it's such a great idea I wanted to do it here in Amarillo, Texas! What fun! I see this as a great way for all of us living in and around Amarillo, Canyon and Lake Tanglewood to find out things to do in and around Amarillo and get ideas from each other! Have fun with it and make suggestions!!
Every day I will post 1 thing that we could do in or around Amarillo! I hope you have fun with it!
What better day to start the countdown than April 1, 2010!
Have fun!
Johnny
Financing is quickly becoming one of the most crucial components of the real estate transactions. Seems as if many of the lenders are trying to find ways to not make loans some days! The investors are requiring more and more scrutiny, perhaps a good thing considering the state of our current economic situation!
If you're trying to get a loan on a home there are a few things you must do to make sure you have the very best chance of getting accepted by your lender! It's our job to help you get those things right so you can close with confidence and get your family successfully moved in to your new home!
A Temporary cool down in the weather may spell a temporary cool down in real estate activity....or not! Some price ranges still have good activity but looking at the statistics for inventory and days on the market doesn't look real promising if you're trying to sell!
So, how do you sell in this market?
First, you must get a real estate professional who is familiar with the market....not just the guy or gal that answered the phone at the first real estate office you called! An agent who knows the market, activity, inventory will better be able to price your home correctly to get it sold!
Second! Get realistic about the current value of your home! True Amarillo homes have not taken a beating like the rest of the country, but they aren't exactly hopping off the proverbial shelf either! To sell a home in this market you must be realistic about your value....what you WANT doesn't matter, what it's worth in this market SELLS!
Till later!
The weather in the Panhandle of Texas appears to be warming up! None too soon! The real estate market spring upswing has been somewhat delayed, probably due to the snow! I don't know about you, but I'm sick of snow! I used to say, "If I want snow I'll go to IT! In don't want it coming to me!" Well, this year has been quite an eye opener for me! Now I don't even want to go to IT!! I'm truly sick of it!! I don't know how you guys in the cold frigid north handle it! YUK!! I'm so ready for spring and warmer weather. Looks like we'll have 70's the rest of this week and most of next week! Lovin' that!! Maybe we'll see a bit of an uptick in the real estate market here! I'm hoping! Come to Amarillo and call us! We'll be happy to show you homes in the ranges and styles you desire!!
