NOCCA had Parent Orientation for returning students this past Saturday morning. The calendar for the upcoming year was released. St Tammany students should notice that some holiday dates do not correspond with the St Tammany School calendar.

The dates are subject to change.
Some differences that I noticed include: St Tammany- Oct 2- Parish Fair Holiday, NOCCA- Nov 11- Veterans Day Holiday, St Tammany- Nov 23- 27- Thanksgiving Holiday, NOCCA- Nov 25- 29- Thanksgiving Holiday, St Tammany- Nov 18 Half Day, NOCCA- Feb 15-17- Mardi Gras Holiday, St Tammany- Feb 15-19- Mardi Gras Holiday, NOCCA- March 27-April 4- Spring Break, St Tammany- March 29- April 5- Spring Break,
When planning vacations, be sure to check both calenders. Students are generally given 0's for assignments missed during unexcused absences. Call the school to confirm.
Mandeville is such a great place to live. Personally, one of my home critea is to live within walking distance to the lake!
The Mandeville Lakefront does not allow food or drink. Sunset Point does! There are covered picnic tables and large covered piers over the water.
The fishing pier is wonderful. I have seen many fish caught at the pier. The guys with big lines even catch small sharks on a regular basis. Many "first fish caught" memories" are made at the pier.
The pier is very family friendly. We have even witnessed baby sting rays being born. The view is awesome. The lake breeze feels wonderful- even on a hot summer night.
Come enjoy Mandeville, La!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! I know it is shouting when you use caps. Kate is progressing by leaps and bounds. It is amazing. When Kate was first in the accident, it seemed like she wasn't going to come out of the coma. I think outwardly everyone was trying to stay positive, but it looked really bad.
It has been three months and I am truly amazed. She has made such rapid improvement over the past week or so. She's eating, and even speaking some now. Her therapy has been moved to the next level- 4 hours a day. Janne (her mom) does a terrific job of keeping everyone updated and focused on continuing to pray for Kate. Read her story and updated journal at Caring Bridge- http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/katecrews
Thanks to Atlanta for being so kind to the family.
Old Mandeville is a great community. It is easy to say "the location is great". I hope this show illustrates those words.
I walked around my listing on 1912 Jefferson St, Mandeville La. and took pictures of some of the places the lucky new owner of this lot can easily visit. Please enjoy!

The Krewe of Eve parade that was originally planned for last Friday has been rescheduled for tonight. (Mon. Jan. 28, 2008) The krewe is known for having beautiful floats, great throws, and throwing lots of goodies. Be sure to bring a big bag! Be safe and have fun.
