Lake Livingston ♥ Keep it Simple
When I see Big Sam (the statue), I know that I have almost made it home. To get to Riverside from Houston on Interstate 45, you simply take Exit # 113 (the 2nd exit after Big Sam.) Go 15 miles on Texas 19 and you've made it to the lake. It's that simple!

Looking for a place to get away? Keep it simple. Make sure that your drive is no longer than 2-3 hours. Anything longer than that will not be used.

What's simple?

Here's the BEST thing about living in a small town...

Huntsville, Texas has a Starbucks

There is no WALMART, no Starbucks, NOT EVEN ONE apartment complex...

I have nothing against any of these things. But when I need them... they are only 20 miles away. I don't need them EVERY day!

Here's some other really good news....

You are SECONDS away from:

So... when you get ready to look for property on Lake Livingston... give me a call!

Sam Houston Statue - Interesting Facts

Sam Houston Statue

If you are passing through Huntsville on I-45, don't miss tSam Houston Statue Visitor's Centerhe opportunity to stop and visit the Sam Houston Statue. I see lots of people who illegally stop on the side of the highway and snap a quick picture of Sam and move on their merry way. They have no idea what they are missing! The Sam Houston Statue has a visitors center with friendly folks that can give you the scoop on the artist and the particulars of the statue. They have clean bathrooms and the coolest of gift stores with everything Texas! There is a short walk through the woods where you will see a bust of Sam's face, cross over a picture perfect bridge and finally you are at the 10 foot granite base of "Big Sam." Now ANYONE can take a shot of the Sam Houston Statue from the highway, but it takes someone special to get a up close and personal with him from the ground up.

Spring Forward TONIGHT!

Spring Forward!!

Tonight’s the night!

Set your clocks FORWARD one hour BEFORE you go to bed. Otherwise you will be late to church and early to Sunday school. It could be worse -- you’ll still be able to hit the late service after Sunday school. So you have NO excuse! HA! ☺

I LOVE to Spring Forward because I love the sun shining later in the day. Now Falling Back... THAT’s a different story. I’m not too crazy about that! (Boo! Hiss!)
