I am writing this post as a means to reach out to my readers and to figure out who I am able to help and who is able to help me. I am an entrepreneur, a real estate entrepreneur. I make mistakes all of the time and I am continually learning. In fact, one of my thoughts on life is to make mistakes. Making mistakes is how you learn and how you grow. I have never had a silver spoon and in fact have built this company from the ground up. I eat, sleep, dream, and love my business and my dreams. I want this business to become the next Coca-Cola, "Ug buys ugly homes" or Century 21 and I will give a lot to make that happen.

This blog is a way for me to track my experiences and for you to learn from my mistakes and bask in my glory with me. I am huge on personal growth and am continually trying to learn so there should be some great information in here for you to laugh at and to learn from. I am also very open to your insight and welcome all knowledge that you are able to provide.

I am open and grateful for all readers but my core readers and friends I hope are just like me. By that I mean all people that have dreams. If you are like me then you are an entrepreneur at heart, you dream of financial freedom and overall we are the people that dream of happiness. You can have what you want when you want it, you are happy and care free because the bills are going to be paid and your spouse and kids are smiling. (Ear to ear baby!)

Success to us, isnt just a goal or another word in the dictionary. Success is the reason we wake up in the morning, success isnt defined as doing great at one thing, yet doing great at all things. Being at peak performance, mind, body, and soul, is the definition of success in our minds or at least that is a portion of the definition. We have a different outlook on life than most people, because we are able to see past the new cars and shiny rims. We are able see the future almost clearly and the steps that we will take. I wish that I could see my steps clearer sometimes. I follow the universe in its entirety so I dont need 100% clarity on my next steps.

You probably dont like negativity and when negative people and attitudes are around. There is no age you need to be or that is too old. I remember sitting at the local REIA meeting www.CharlestonREIA.com listening to an 8 year old little girl that wanted her first investment by 13.

Well, today I have been reading a bit about how people generate hundreds of thousands of hits on their blogs and in turn make a lot of money on them. I figured that I love to write about what I love and that is real estate and maybe I can turn that into a couple of bucks here and there. Heck, anything helps in this economy. So this is my first attempt at a real blog and as I learn more about tags and keywords I will be sure to let you know about it as well. Of course, I am writing this for you and I hope you consider us to be friends.

What does the word entrepreneur mean to me? Well, it means so many things but more than anything it means following your dreams. Everyone has the dream of living financially free, no bills to worry about and living with a smile from ear to ear. Whether that is due to driving a super sportscar, Aston Martin or Ferrari, or becoming an extreme sports enthusiast, you are able to do it because life doesnt get in the way. For me, it is simple, just give me enough so that I am respected due to my company's success, my family is never burdened and my wife is smiling. I can see myself sitting in my office putting on my green getting ready to go out to the golf course or to the beach. Of course with my wife and my little girls, right there by my side. I am talking about checking on my business, completely out of day to day operations, that is where I want to be.

I have a nice car, plenty of toys, and my kids "want for nothing". The only way that a young man, with no silver spoon could do this, at least in my mind, was to create his own company. Through blood, sweat and tears, to say the least, we have been growing and I will realize that lifestyle very early on. If I can do it, anyone can, and I say that with the utmost honesty in my heart. Most people look at me and think nothing of me because of the type of person I represent. I am definitely not a book that should be judged by the cover. I am sure that you are not either, otherwise you wouldnt be reading this blog and you would probably be playing HALO or some erotic novel. From now on, these blogs are going to be about my trials and tribulations, my successes and failures. Criticize all that you want but this blog is now a no holds barred all me, all Joey P.

I have done deals where I have made $25k plus with less than 40 hours worth of work in something, I have done deals where I am still trying to salvage remains. One of the best things I have ever been told is that I need to go out and make mistakes. That is how you learn, that is how you grow.

Well, take the couple of tidbits for now and check back on me, I am going to show you everything that I do and how I make my money, my happiness and my dreams come true.

Well, here is another little tidbit of what I have been thinking. Since I am starting my own brokerage soon, I want to start a new tradition and get my name out a bit more in the community. It started yesterday with going to the civic club meeting. I am getting into more community groups, maybe even running for a position. I am young and very knowledgeable so I think I am able to offer a lot to the community in growth.

Also, I am going to start cold calling, just enough to make a new friend everyday. No soliciting, no sales, just making a new friend. Maybe down the line I may ask for a referral and I doubt I will have to make too many calls but I think this route will be efficient and will make me a well known individual in the area. That is what I can hope for.

Thanks and tell me your thoughts

First of all, I am not a biggot and definitely a fan of homosexuals. I have a couple friends that are gay and they are very nice people. One of my buddies I forget is gay and he is just like one of the guys. I guess he just is into a different kind of porn, ha! Whatever though, he is a great guy. Well, I am ok with one and one marriage gay or traditional but I have a huge problem with what I saw on the news today.

MULTIPLE PARTNER MARRIAGE?????!!!!???

If any gay people read this, please tell me if this infuriates you as it does me. Marriage is a sacred matrimony, and these multiple partner marriages are making a mockery of it. That was a great use of alliteration, huh?

Well, maybe I am wrong but those are my thoughts, please tell me what you think? I feel that all of the work that gay people have been putting in to be accepted as equals is being challenged by these people who want to marry multiple people at the same time. You cant possibly love two people the way that you need to love one in marriage, right?

So I am writing today because I am torn and could use some advice.

I am opening a real estate brokerage this month and have two office options. They will both cost about the same but one would be subleased from a business partner of mine. My concerns are that if I sublease the space that the partner will be more concerned over my business and my deals. We use this partner for some financing and I dont want to feel compelled to use this partner when I find deals that I am able to conjure up and see through myself. Also I do not want to step on his toes by moving into his office and upsetting some of his workers or him. That would not be beneficial either.

The space I would rent from him would help him to pay his rent and the office would see some more action. Motion creating emotion and movement creating momentum for both of us. Also growing a stronger relationship between partners.

So there are great benefits to both sides as well as negatives. Please tell me what you think and what you would do.
