Last year I blogged about the discontinuation of Down Payment Assistance programs such as AmeriDream. AmeriDream has recently stated that a bill to reinstate downpayment assistance may be introduced as early as this week. This bill is supposed to be introduced by congressman Al Green of Texas. The bill will have essentially the same language as the bill passed unanimously early last year.
This will be great news, if passed for many first time homebuyers that need a little extra help getting into their first home. If you have questions on this program please call me at 602.714.1012 or email justin@justinrollins.com. You can also visit www.ameridream.com for more information.
Well, my wife and I got an extra Christmas present that I thought I would share with the Active Rain Community. Over the holidays, while visiting our families in Kansas we found out that we are expecting TWINS!!! After we got over the initial shock & the realization we would need 2 cribs, 2 car seats, etc...we couldn't be more excited. We feel totally blessed!!
It's funny because we had a sonogram just a couple of weeks ago and found 1 baby, so to find 2 was a complete and total shock. We are super excited..If anyone is a parent of multiples and has any words of wisdom, we would be happy to hear them.

I just wanted to post a quick update regarding the latest discussions regarding home loans according to the Wall Street Journal. The Treasury Department is in discussions to reduce mortgage rates on new home loans. The plan is in the beginning phases but could reduce rates to as low as 4.5%. The government has been under enormous pressure to not seem as though they are simply bailing out homeowners and lenders; while at the same time do something to stop foreclosures.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Feel free to call 602.714.1012 or email justin@justinrollins.com with any questions you might have.
