As a homeowner in Sawgrass East, and a Realtor in the Carolina Forest community, I found it important to begin writing about the news in our development in the Carolina Forest Chronicle. The Carolina Forest Chronicle is a very positive and upbeat paper, unlike most newspapers that come off of the press.

I started the bi-weekly article for our community back in September of 2008, and have mainly discussed community happenings, and HOA information. We held our first Sawgrass East Sizzlin BBQ on Labor Day of this year, and it was a great success! The turnout was very strong, and we look forward to continuing this event in the future.

The second article discussed the upcoming newsletter that was to be sent out to all homeowners of Sawgrass East. My wife and I took on the responsibility of revamping the current newsletter to make it more interesting, and "reader-friendly." With the help of some members of our HOA, we were able to get the Fall 2008 edition out to all homeowners this month. It was also posted on our brand new Sawgrass East website, which is a major step forward for us.

Just last Friday, we held our first "Happy Hour" at our community center in Sawgrass East. We had a winetasting that was held by Jim from Greens in Myrtle Beach. All who attended were to bring a fall dish, and we had several incredible ones to try! It was an excellent event for getting to know your neighbors who you may not have met. The "Happy Hour" will definitely be the main focus for my next article in the Carolina Forest Chronicle.
