Just thought I would pass along the experience I am having with a past client now looking for a new home. The husband is a Feng Shui master and has to have certain criteria that I have never had to search for before, leading me to believe that this job is not as easy as some might think! The home cannot be on a dead end street or a culdesac if it is on the end of the culdesac. If the culdesac or dead end has a good opening for entrance and exit, it might work. Also, if the home is located at the center of the Y, that is big trouble because it scatters the energy!
We looked at one that the backyard sloped downward quite drastically which is also a no -no because the the back of your home is your wealth and relationship area....he said it could be corrected by adding some lights that would come up high or some flagpoles (to basically raise the level of the back visually). A backyard with a barrier behind it is not favorable either(blocks the chi).
They prefer no vaults but especially above the bed and definitely not an open beam above the bed in the master bedroom. His wife must sleep north to south, so there must be a wall in the master to accommodate their queen size bed. Clutter and dried flowers are a huge turn off, but can be corrected easily. A staircase as you open the front door will result in a loss of all your wealth (out the door) but can also be corrected with crystals/wind chimes (something to keep the chi flowing). They are picky about certain colors but realize that can be changed easily most times....its kinda fun, but complicates my search some....I have learned a lot from them!
A few more tips....
*The space outside your front door should be free and clear of all shoes, bags, etc.
*Energy in the home comes through the wind and it needs water to stay any water to stay. No water means it goes back to the wind and blows out.
*No televisions in the bedroom or mirrors by the bedside or you will attract a 3rd party into your relationship.
*Do not let children to sleep on mattresses lying on the floor, this will make them get ill frequently.
*Solid walls only behind your bed. This helps your to have a deeper sleep and also allows you to concentrate better.
*Try and use wooden tables only or live a life with work pressures.
*Open windows and let the fresh air flow in at least 20 minutes a day.
