I wanted to write a blog about a great project in the area called The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project.

The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project, in partnership with Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, collects gently used and new tote bags to lend dignity to the participants in the region's food pantries.

The project works with existing food drives, identifies permanent "drop off spots" and seeks out larger corporate donors to contribute excess promotional bags. In partnership with the Food Bank, bags are distributed to pantries and food distributions throughout the region.

I am trying to help them out. If you are anything like me, you probably have more than enough at home or stuffed into the back of your car! If you are selling your home in Pittsburgh, now is a great time to give away those extra bags so you don’t have to transport them!

If you have any excess reusable shopping bags (the kind you use for grocery shopping instead of plastic ones), you can contact me for drop off or I could arrange for pick up.

Well the numbers at the top from November 2010 to November 2011 are fairly consistent. So the top agents in Peters Township that said the market was pretty flat were almost right. The one number that jumps out at is the Average days on market. Home sold 32 days faster in November 2011 than in November 2010. That is a great statistic. If you were selling your home in Peters Township, this change means sellers didn’t hold on to their mortgage for a whole month. That is savings in my book!

Peters Township Real Estate Market Update

As November 2011 comes to a close, I am curious to see how this November was going to shape up compared to last year. I heard conflicting stories this month from top Real Estate Agents in Peters Township. Some said the Peters Township Real Estate Market was flat compared to last year. Some expert agents in Peters Township saw an increase in sales while others saw a slight decrease. In a few days we will have the full market report as we enter December.

I figured it would be nice to review last year’s numbers in anticipation for this November.
