A friend posted a commented on the media coverage of Osama bin Laden's death. He said " my concern is the world seeing the rejoicing and jubilation in the streets over the American Victory of Osama bin Laden's death."
I agree with my friend. The media.... aren't they the eyes of how people perceive what we do, how the people feel & how we respond to situations? .. Is that really how it is? Can we put a group of over excited, jubilant people in a box & say we are in that box too?
I agree with many that fill uncomfortable with celebration...why be uncomfortable over the death of murderer?...
will this impact our lives to make the world a better place? Has this.....will this...make us stronger....a better human being? We will see..
Osama bin Laden's death will not bring back the 3000 deaths nor restore the heartache of the American people.
The sad truth is ....
.that my friends..... is un-nerving and unchanging.
Hate is an Evil that destroys itself...but not without the sacrifice of the innocent....
A heart of gratitude to our Brave Military and their families for sacrificing that we may rejoice in our American freedoms
We as Americans can cautiously rejoice that an Evil has been destroyed but always be aware .....
This amazing man has said it all.
""I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate
for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only
light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." --Martin Luther King, Jr.
We leisurely walked along a 3 mile trail along the banks of Spring Creek called " Fisherman's Paradise " in Centre County, State College, Pa. What a delightful find on a glorious fall day. Only the ripple sounds of the creek break the silence of the oldest and famous fly fishing catch and release hot spot for all trout enthusiaste. If your a fly fisherman... " Fisherman's paradise " is no secret. but for all first time visitors and paradise lovers ...well...it becomes delightful time to surround yourself with all the beauty and peace that nauture can give..and on a glorious fall day...does it get any better?

While many attended the " Penn State Homecoming " football game against University of Illinois, we opted to take the side of no traffic, no cheering, no tail gating ......just us ...nature and a few fisherman..relaxing within the beauty of nature

There is a profound secret in the depth of nature..whispering '" Wait for His answers Relax in His presence"

There is just something pure and serene about new fallen snow...a real wonderland.
Western Pa woke up this morning in the dark. no electricity and cold. We here in Pennsylvania many of our neighboring states are experiencing a major snow storm. The morning news stations are warning residents to stay off the highways.....no problem...can't see where the roads are...just a white blanket covering everything.
As soon as the electric was restored I went to my face book page and posted about the electric being off and hoped everyone was at home and safe...minutes later the phone was ringing off the wall....the power of facebook......
We had 18 to 24 inches of snow ( more toward Pittsburgh and Westmoreland County ) West Virginia has sent in reports of as much as 32 inches... It is beautiful.....It is the time of the year ...as long as everyone is safe and warm....enjoy...Hot July and August will soon be here, along with complaints ...it is too hot.........

We look back on the Holiday with smiles and unforgettable memories.that remain a part of us.
Christmas has always been a special time .....a time for miracles.
This Christmas was a very special time for me...... Indeed,...
there was a miracle...after eight years a gift of a second grandson .....Baby Owen was born December 22......just in time to celebrate the miracle of the Birth of Christ....a Christmas baby.
What a perfect gift of Love. A baby to join in the celebration of the Jesus Birth.
This year my visit to Mary Mother of Hope's Nativity Scene brought not only the joy of the season but humbled me with the depiction of that first Christmas. Today the church was held open again for visitors and the community. What magnificence.to behold.....Realistic life size Fontanini statues of the visitors and par takers of that very first Christmas visitation filled the sanctuary with such realism.
A baby is always a joy, always a celebration, always a reminder of the miracle of life....but this ....the nativity scene...the Miracle of all Miracles. " The Baby Jesus " .......God made man enters the world...
Mary Mother of Hope is one of the many beautiful churches we have in the New Castle area.
Many of the community come to visit the Nativity Scene. Many come to the altar and stand in awe in the realism of that " Holy Night"...... the fresh straw around the manger, the visitors from the village, the children, the drummer boy, the animals.....the eye can not capture the full impact.........it fills the heart with awe and humility
The 6 snow frosted the trees surrounded the scene. They sparkled with bright white lights and tiny blue lights....gorgeous
Over 30 Christmas trees adorned with blue and white lights were placed throughout the church.
The Wicks Opus 4497 Organ with 54 ranks of pipes is considered a Neo Baroque Pipe Organ fills the church with glorious Christmas Music gifted to listeners by the Music Minister Kris Harper and a children and adult choir
The invitation to all was given to " Come "....... come and relax...cast away the stress, the cares, come and enjoy the beauty of Christmas....and that is what it was....A very appreciated thank you to Rev.Victor Molka and to the many volunteers who help to again create a beautiful Christmas experience......one not easily forgotten
Something caught my eye in the church bulletin........just a simple but beautiful thought......yes ..a light in the darkness..and it surrounds us with Love, Hope and Truth this Christmas at Mary Mother of Hope 2009....
If a child falls on the sidewalk, our
first inclination is to pick him up
and fix his skinned knees. If a child
runs a fever or develops an illness,
we immediately do whatever we can
to make her feel better. If a child is
hungry, we feed him. If a child
suffers the pains of hatred or
solitude, we do our best to comfort
her. If our first reaction is to lift a
child from need, it would only
follow that God the Father so loves
His children that He gave us the gift
of Jesus Christ.
Listen to the words of John once
again as he so delicately but
gloriously describes the coming of
Christ into the world: "What came
to be through him was life, and this
life was the light of the human race;
the light shines in the darkness, and
the darkness has not overcome it."
