Harley Riding in the Mountains of Franklin, NC and surrounding areas.

Some of you found out that I ride my own Harley and asked me to blog about it. So, Here are a few pictures of my favorite sport.

Joe & I at the Cherokee, NC rally this year.

My little Sporster that I have been riding for 19 years! Still looking pretty darn good I must say.

The other side of my bike. Joe and his 23 year old Softail.

Over the years we have won first, second and third places with our bikes in shows back in the day.

I remember the day I got it for Christmas one year. The keys were in a jewelry box and I almost hit the kitchen ceiling. The next day I made Joe take in out of the garage and point it forward in the street. I was so afraid to ride it. We took off to the college parking lot where Joe taught me to ride. My first long ride was to Daytona Bike week and I begged everyone not to go real fast. They didn't listen and I was broke in that trip to keep up or get left behind. I been riding ever since.

Mike & Christy Barber own a quaint little shop in Downtown Franklin, NC 28734.  Be sure to stop in and see the latest hand thrown pottery by Mike and the Artwork of Christy.

~ Barber Pottery ~

Our stoneware is handcrafted in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina by Mike and Christy Barber. Every piece is wheel thrown by Mike before being hand carved by Christy. Finally, each piece is finished by spraying multiple layers of glaze before being fired to over 2100 degrees.

Are carvings and glazes take their inspiration from nature, where we spend our free time hiking and fly fishing. Our pottery is meant to be used and enjoyed. Every piece we make is oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe. We hope you will enoy using our pottery as much as we enjoy making it.

All stoneware pottery is oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe.  When baking it's best to place pottery in a cold oven and let them warm together.
