According to information gathered from the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service (ECAR MLS) by Destin Real Estate Company, as of June 15, the boutique, luxury firm is number one in sales volume of all offices on the Emerald Coast. The company reports a year-to-date sales volume of just over $44.5 million, with an approximate $30 million in additional contingent or pending sales contracts, set to close by the end of the year.
Among those properties that sold this year was an 8,354 square-foot, Gulf-front home in Blue Mountain Beach, originally listed for $12.7 million by Mark Stroop, a two-story, Gulf-front penthouse at Andante in Seacrest, originally listed for $2,990,000 by Allen Adams as well as a Gulf-front lot in Gulf Dunes with over 200 feet of beach front, originally listed for $1,695,000 by Blake Morar, sold by fellow Destin Real Estate Company agent Christina Meinen.

A tax credit is now available for Qualified First Time Home Buyer's purchasing a principal residence on or afer January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009. The big move is.....this one doesn't have to be repaid.

There is a definite time table for this generous gift. The $8,000 tax credit only applies to homes purchased before December 1, 2009. There could be an extention, but with the heat that Congress has caught over the money spent for stimulus.....I would bet my credit while I could.
