The temp neared 95 degrees F and the humidity was through the roof. I had scheduled a meeting with a a new client at 2:00 in the afternoon, in the height of the humidity. I had been running around the house in swimwear all morning. Residing on an Island, Fort Myers Beach, swimwear is often my fashion choice. The last item that I wanted to put on was a business suit. I rummaged through my closets for the perfect outfit and finally decided upon a cotton gray and white sun dress. It wasn't too short, just above the kness, but rather low cut. Still, I liked the nautical look and the cotton is cool to the skin. I grabbed white heels and set off for my appointment.
My husband has asked me if I thought it would okay for him to wear a pair of nice shorts when meeting a client or for showings. I usually say No, unless the client or clients are well known to him. We do live in a hot and humid environment, but you can still dress for success. But, of course, Boston business attire is not Florida business attire.
