OK, is it the new Blackberry Tour or the iPHONE? Here's what I found out...
OK everyone, I am still working on the phone issue. I need a new phone which is upgraded and reliable. I want a phone with a good GPS and good local service.
There are 4 Blackberry curves, the 8310, 8330, 8350i, and the 8900, which have been recommended by more than those here who responded to my last blog about this.
Here is what I found when I compared the Blackberry Curve 8900 with the Blackberry Tour:
The Curve allows 5.5 hrs of talk time vs. the NEW Blackberry Tour 5.0 hrs.
The Curve has 356 hrs of "stand by" time vs 336 hours with the new Tour. The Tour has no Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g (which I totally have no idea what this means).
The Curve has no dual-band 800/1900 mHz CDMA2000 1X Ev-Do networks (? - no clue).
The Curve also has no 2100 MHZ UMTS networks (again? - no clue).
The Curve has no UMTS/HSPA networks: 2100 MHz.
Onto the iPHONE (AR Brads recommendation)...The iPHONE (3 GS 32 GB) will cost me $299.00 plus a fee of $200.00 a month for unlimited time, unlimited text, email, GPS, etc...
I was unable to find out how much the Blackberry curve would cost at this time. Anyone know?
I want a user friendly phone which compliments a Real Estate agent...I had some comments on my last blog about this, that was BEFORE I RESEARCHED the comments.
What do you use to run your business - phone wise?
Please help.

Brad doesn't want to debate phones but I want to know Blackberry Curve or iPhone? or any other that might suit my needs...
I NEED A NEW PHONE! Iwould like to know the pro's and con's of these two phones as I have heard good things and bad things about both.
What I am looking for is a phone that I can run with my lap top, a phone that has a great GPS system, but MOST OF ALL, one that is easy to use.
I don't want to spend a month learning all the in's and out's of the phone. I want it to be user friendly.
My service agreement with Sprint has expired. My current air card is with Verizon.
I would like a phone that I can use that will allow me to eliminate the need for the air card.
I KNOW, THERE ARE MANY TECHNO SAVY members here who use a variety of instruments to run their businesses via their cell phones and their unique capabilities.
What is your advice? Please help me. I googled them today, still would like to hear your experiences.
Thank you in advance,

Where's all the excess inventory? Here are the stats for Broward County, Florida as of today.
Amazing, we went from around 36,000 homes/condos for sale last year about this time to 25,593 as of today.
Yes, we still have 13.5 months of inventory, however it's better now than it was a year ago at about 26 months.
Here is the breakdown:
In Broward County, Florida:
Homes for sale: 9,791 are for sale and 536 are REO's (bank owned properties)
Condos for sale: 15,802 are for sale and 675 are REO's
There are 7,920 rentals according to the MLS this evening.
My point is, residences are selling and have been this past year in south east Florida.
We have eliminated approximately 29% of the inventory this past year in Broward County, FL.
Here are the short sale stats in Broward County, FL:
Homes: of the 9,791 homes for sale, 3,289 are in short sale status.
Condos: of the 15,802 condos for sale, 5,095 are in short sale status.
So, are we selling here, YES!
Of the 25,593 residences for sale - 8,384 are in short sale status of 25,593 residences (meaning a home or a condo).
That in a nut shell reflects 32.7% of homes for sale are in short sale status.
Those 8,384 residences will be in foreclosure, then listed as bank owned properties (REO's) in the future.
When, who knows...
That's the local Broward County, Florida scoop.
What is the situation in your county? Let's put the stat's out there for the government to see!
Please do post your local stats. Maybe the government will see the issue...or it's all I can do is hope!

Michael Jackson/his physician/CPR and the other voice on the 911 phone. This is a short and sweet blog...any of you who have medical experience will understand what I'm about to say....
Michael Jackson had a physician with him, who apparently was administering drugs to him...so the news reports.
CPR...what is TOTALLY BAFFLING TO ME IS THAT...the physician was apparently administering compressions to Michael Jackson in an effort to save him...in his bed...to no avail...yup...that won't work.
Anyone with a current CPR card knows...the patient needs to be placed on a hard surface such as a floor where the compressions to ones heart will work..
When the 911 operator asked the unknown caller where the patient was and the answer was..."In/On the bed"...major questions should be asked.
It's bad enough that Demerol was administered...and he stopped breathing...hello doctor...if there was an overdose..the first thing you should have done was to administer some narcan...just in case here.
Doctor, you also should have known to move Michael to the floor...CPR does not work unless it's in a hospital bed in a critical care unit.
Was this doctor ACLS certified...I hope...he was a Cardiologist (doesn't mean he was up on his certifications)..but to leave a practice and live with Michael Jackson...What was going on there. No Cardiologist with a practice would do that...unless he was one of those physicians in Hollywood who was known to keep prescribing meds...that is "on demand" and for a better salary than they could make on their own.
What a sad story...
Just my opinion, what is yours?

My first fathers day without him...it has been one rough day...but last night just thinking about it was worse.
It's amazing the power of a father. The power of his speech, his advice, his compassion and his love.
The family figure who used to always be there for a smile, a laugh, a joke...then when you needed very astute advice.
I wish all of you fathers a very blessed day today.
I showed two properties today (I know but the seller's are sort of desperate, the buyers are in a hurry and it was a third showing), and it was so neat to see how the two families (who I interrupted today) has such unique family plans...breakfast in bed for dad and a special lunch planned and a cake with a special dinner planned was so nice to see. The other was different, the father was ironing clothes for his wife...all the while, the wife was out in this heat here (95 degrees in south Florida) doing gardening, etc...
Just goes to show you that every family has different was to celebrate this day.

How did you celebrate Father's day with your family?
