Karin Smith - Realtor in Slidell, La - Listing Agent & Buyers Agent

Karin Smith was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and later relocated to Pensacola, Florida where she met and married her husband, Philip. Philip is a pilot in the USMC and was stationed at NAS Pensacola as a flight instructor. During their tour in Pensacola, Karin and Philip visited New Orleans as often as possible. Philip, originally from Pennsylvania, immediately fell in love with the New Orleans area and they both knew this was the place they would eventually call home.

But first, the USMC relocated them to Oceanside, California. Karin spent most of her time in California with her volunteer work assisting other spouses of deployed Marines. Two and a half years and two deployments later, Philip was able to request new orders to New Orleans, Louisiana and fulfill their wish to ‘come home.'

The moment the orders were approved, Karin and Philip starting dreaming of owning a waterfront house near the city and began to take house-hunting trips to Louisiana as often as possible. It wasn't long before they met the agent that would help them fulfill this dream. She was professional, proficient and always punctual! The process, instead of being the hassle that Karin had come to expect, was a breeze thanks to an exceptional agent. Voila, the process was complete and Karin and Philip held the key to their new property. It didn't take long before Karin knew exactly what she wanted to pursue once the move ‘back home' was complete - a career in real estate. Karin has two children; Charles, 26 and Brytney, 24, and three grandchildren; Peyton, Callie and Rex Charles graduated from LSU in 2007 and resides in Baton Rouge, La. Brytney has recently relocated to Covington, La from Oceanside, Ca. to be closer to her family and may soon join her mother in Real Estate!
