It's Leaf Season in North Georgia!!!

Each October, North Georgia's forests transform into a vibrant array of colors that beckon you to get your camera out and lace up your hiking boots to explore this gorgeous time of year!

Don’t miss the spectacular display as Mother Nature covers the pristine mountains with an vibrant array of colors. The “Leaf Season” officially started October 1st (USDA Forest Service website).

Again in 2011, the Georgia Forestry Commission is partnering with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to provide updates on leaf color changes. Beginning in October the information can be found HERE

Make sure to bring your camera as you will be surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors. Check out the nearby Vogel State Park, Blood and Slaughter Mountains, which according to the GA Department of Natural Resources are the most photographed views in North Georgia with “peak date" later in October.
