When was the last time you thought to yourself, "Wasn't it great when you put one of yourlistings on the market and it sold the same weekend with multiple contracts.". Now all my listings sit on the market for months and I have to spend more time and money than ever before to get them sold. "The times they are a changin" as the poet of our generation said. Lower price range houses in my area, Howard County, Maryland are starting to move and move quickly. This means that there are a lot of 1st time buyers out there and they're going to get our real estate market jump-started from the ground up. 4 contracts lat weekend. Who would have thunk it? Have a good one.
When was the last time you heard or read something positive about this country's real estate market? I know that my memory is not as good as it used to be, but DUH, I can't remember when. Houses in my area (Howard County, Maryland) are selling and the market is not the gloom and doom that the media portrays. Buyers can and do get scared to death by the media. They are afraid to buy now and don't know when the right time will be. Prices in my area have adjusted in the last 2 1/2 years, as they had to, or no one could afford to buy a home here. PLEASE, I need something positive for a change. Write or email your local newspaper editor or the local TV station head and tell them "I'm mad as hell and I won't take it anymore!".
