Don't miss the first meteor shower of 2012! The Quadrantid will peak in the early morning hours of January 4. It will be brief but should be spectacular since the moon will not be a factor for light pollution. If you live in an area where light pollution is low to moderate, you should be able to enjoy an exciting view of the night sky around 3:00am to 4:00am CST. From Boerne, Texas we should be able to get a nice view. I'll post more later about where there might be a location where others are gathering for the show.

The Texas Hill Country enjoys very low light pollution making it possible to step out into the backyard to see the stars. As the old song goes, "The stars at night are big and big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas!"
