For many weeks, most people have been taking a ‘wait and see' approach to life.
We have waited to see what the economy is going to do~ paused to wait to see what the bailout package was going to be~ took a break to wait on Wall Street's recovery ~suspended all plans until the election was over~ Basically we've been on a hiatus from living our lives.
Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time we got back to our regularly scheduled programs!
No more ‘wait and see' it's time to get back in the game!
If you pulled out your winter clothes and last year's pants are just a little too tight, then by all means go buy some new clothes. There are some great sales out there~ 30%, 40%, 50% off sales in many stores already and it's not even Christmas yet!
If your car is falling apart, shop around for a new one or a new for you one. Car dealers are motivated and they have some unprecedented pricing and programs available.
AND BY ALL MEANS...if you are renting, or living in a home that no longer meets your needs, get the heck out of there! It's a wonderful time to buy or even sell a home...interest rates are low, selection is good and can get better as folks put their homes on the market so they can move up! Don't wait another day!
Fear is a powerful enemy for our economy. It's time for us to energize our economy by getting back in the business of living our lives. The bailout plan will take longer than we anticipated to be fully implemented but there are lenders out there today with money to lend to those with good credit. The election is over & regardless of your selection for president it's time for us, the average American, to back to the business of buying and selling. Wall Street will continue to recover as will most people's 401K's.
BREAK TIME IS OVER! So if you are looking to purchase or sell a home in the West Tennessee area, particularly Lexington/Henderson County or Parsons/Decatur County, I am NOT on hiatus. I am working and ready to help you make your real estate dreams a reality!

A couple of Fridays ago, my 18 year old daughter came home from college with one task in mind....VOTING! When she got to the city limits sign, she called and said "Where do I go?"
I told her I would meet her at the Henderson County Election Office on Natchez Trace and we would vote together. As we entered we both took out our voter's registration cards and our ID's. (Yes in Tennessee you DO have to legally exist and prove it in order to vote). They gave her a demonstration on the voting machine and she was ready to go vote.
I had already cast my ballot and stood behind her while she voted (Ok yea I was trying to peek to see who she was voting for) and she promptly told me I was violating her voting rights LOL. Then when the screen said she had completed casting her ballot, she turned eyes glistening with a great big huge smile and announced proudly and loudly to everyone "I HAVE JUST EXERCISED MY RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN TO VOTE FOR THE FIRST TIME"! I was so glad that I was there to share another first in a lifetime of 'first's' with this lovely young lady.
In this heated election season full of allegations of voter fraud and discrepancies, let us not lose sight of the priviledge that we are afforded with the opportunity to vote. So out of the mouths of babes.... Exercise your right as an American to Vote!!
Earlier this evening I got a call from Frank Garey from thinkbigworksmall.com. He invited me to be guest on his webcast tonight at 6:30 PDT. His subject tonight is about politics and religion in a salesperson's marketing. A while back I blogged about this very subject and just how did Frank Garey find ME?
You guessed it!!! ACTIVE RAIN!
So tonight I will be discussing my no politics,no religion blog with Frank.
Wish me luck!
All the Best!

"A Family Affair" is a fun-filled event that is being coordinated by the Lexington City Schools, the Henderson County School System and the Henderson County Extension Service.

Activities will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Lexington High School, 284 White Street, in the main lobby and on the school grounds.
This annual event is great fun for the entire family. Along with displays from many service agencies, there will be exhibits from all area schools. Enjoy free food and great door prizes.
