For those of you who miss the snow, here is a video I made of our snowstorm of March 2, 2009. We had over a foot of snow overnight, and another 3-4 inches later that day. This video was filmed at around 6 AM. No plow had been down the road yet, so I was able to make first tracks! All of that has melted now, of course, as spring starts to peek out around us. This was probably the last storm of the season. I hope you enjoy it.
After five years of living in this neighborhood, the sunrise remains one of my greatest delights. The early timing of dawn in the spring brings us not only longer days, but more spectacular colors and light each morning. In this photo, the sun has just popped over the crest of the hills to the east of Sturbridge. It's my pleasure to share this wonderful scene with you. -Kathryn Acciari

I love Sturbridge! But I am biased. As a resident I know what our lovely town has to offer. In a moment of creativity, I went to the wordle.net web site and created a graphic to describe the things that I appreciate about Sturbridge. Here it is:

What words do you use to describe Sturbridge? I'd love to hear from you. -Kathryn

Recently I was talking with a fella who told me that when he travels, he researches and then samples the sandwich that is most local to the area he is visiting. For example, in Philadelphia he would of course enjoy the Philly Cheese Steak. In Buffalo, it would be Beef on Weck. In New Orleans, it would be my favorite, the Muffaletta, oh yes it would.
This sounds like a great way to lunch your way through a vacation. It would also be a fun way to introduce relocation clients to your local fare. And, for you forward thinkers, you could hold a special sandwich open house on National Sandwich Day - November 3. Or do some lunchtime mini sandwich pop-bys.
So I want to ask: How is the beloved sandwich typified where you live? And what is your favorite way to indulge in it?
Here in Central MA, we have subs. Take a long sandwich roll or piece of French bread, fill it with any type meat and/or veggie combination you can think of, load it with your fav condiment and you are all set. My preference is roast turkey with provolone, lettuce, mustard, and banana peppers on a nice crusty bread. Serve it up with a Dr. Pepper and you are good to go.
I'll look forward to your responses!
