A Fun Thing To Do Near Lynchburg VA
Beth Anne & Jon have been trying to take Brylan to the Natural Bridge Zoo on Rt 11 in Rockbridge Co, VA all summer & we finally got it all together to go on Saturday. What a beautiful VA Fall Day for a Family Fun Thing To Do Near Lynchburg VA!
Here is a hint - if you take this Fun Thing To Do near Lynchburg VA - DO NOT let the KIDS hold the pellet food when you go through the gate. I had the bag of food and the Llamas chased me - the Alpha Male was a real pig! I threw the food at Tom and he got them away from me - we would have pictures but everyone was to busy either laughing at me or trying to keep the kids out of the fray! Anyway the Llamas like the pellet food and will follow you all over the entire park - but they are funny and cute especially the babies who are nursing and will not eat the pellets!

The Monkeys were a real hit with our two & both of them got excited to see the Zebra and the Giraffes! But Brantley did not think much of the elephant - too big for her! Brylan loved all of the birds - even the screaming ones!
And the BABIES - oh the baby animals are so cute. You can see "our Babies" watching the "Zoo Babies" - we even got to feed the baby Camels! Brylan was not to sure about the Baby Camel getting a BaBa...as you can see.

Brantley and I loved the "Mingos" - because of course we have lots of "Mingos" at Kakie's house!

But we liked the Turtle Shell and the Alligator as you can see.

What a great couple of hours we all had - and we highly recommend the Fall for a visit - cool and the "Nature Smells" were not bad at all!

Brett is married to Sallie Payne Carson who is a Special Ed Teacher at Heritage High School (Lynchburg City Schools) and they are the parents of my prescious granddaughter, Brantley Ann Carson. My daughter, Beth Anne Carson-Marr works in HR at J Crew and is married to Jon Marr. Jon works at Tri-Tech Labs and they are the proud parents of my adorable grandson, Brylan Ramsey Marr.
I have always been an active community volunteer. In my younger days I served in many capacities of the local clubs of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs, as well as a parent volunteer for the City of Lynchburg (Heritage Elementary) & Campbell County Schools (Tomahawk Elementary, Brookville Middle School & Brookville High School). Currently I am a member of the Rotary Club of Forest and a worker "bee" for such activities as: the Angels Race, Lynchburg Junior Achievement, Amazement Square Children's Museum, etc.
I love introducing new residents to all that our area has to offer, from the great cost of living, health care, educational opportunities to the great weather - We have it all !!!!

Throw in 2 work schedules, the kids, the animals, keeping a house clean and you have the makings for a Stress Meltdown!!! That's where a good REALTOR "earns their keep" so to speak - it is my job to play the devil's advocate and to anticipate the issues before they become issues. I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!
