I am currently doing some research to find other business people in our industry that are interested in conducting their business as"green" as possible. I am looking to find potential affiliates such as local home energy raters, energy-efficient mortage providers, green builders, green building programs, home inspectors, radon or mold mitigation specialists, etc. that share my same green values.
My plan is to create a network of service providers for my clients that are all giving the environment the care and attention it deserves. I am also in the process of creating a packet to give to my clients that will explain why being an eco-broker is so important, as well as providing them with resources to find a green alternative to each and every part of the home buying/selling experience.
Feel free to comment with any suggestions or interest in this important cause! I would love to add new member to my new green network.
I recently completed energy, environmental, and marketing training and became certified as an EcoBroker. EcoBroker is a program that trains real estate agents to help clients take advantage of energy efficiency and environmentally sensitive design in real estate properties.
My goal is to grow my client base by attracting other green-minded consumers like myself and providing each and every client with valuable energy and environmental information.
In the training program, I learned about things like how to address potential environmental issues in real estate transactions, such as radon, asbestos, lead, water, mold, and indoor air quality. I also learned how energy ratings and energy efficiency can put dollars in the pockets of my buyers and sellers. I hope to apply all of my energy and environmental training to add value to all of my transactions!
I am still in the proccess of learning all the advantages of the program and am excited to increase my knowledge about important things such as "Going Green."
