I have run my self crazy this week, trying to make sure everyones needs were meet and now it is Wednesday and I feel like it is Monday all over again, bad enough for us to eat frozen waffles for supper!!!!. I have had 2 listings this week and calls on my properties and I am very excited to see the market rumble a little. Faith in the storm is all we have and nothing can change destiny. Sometimes a good cry might help and maybe pulling a blanket over your head. But in the end time does not stand still and we will face what ever is up! So I guess I will just catch a breath and see what tommorow brings!! Hope the rest of the week fly's by!! God is Good!
Saturday night before bed we Spring forward 1 hour and change our clocks ahead a hour. So spring is time time for reflection and new hope. A time where new life begins and the beauty of our world starts to show. Over the week end we had 6 inches of snow and thunder lightening. Greenville never gets snow like this, only once every few years. Flowers were starting to bloom and it was pretty to see them peaking out of the snow. I think this is how are lives are covered in stuff, and waiting for the chance to bloom and spring forward. We can't be held back or covered up for long. We must have faith and the courage to step out and take a chance once again. If not we will be stuck and never have the chance at a new life! We can sit and wait on better things or just listen to God and trust. Our country has been in trouble before, but some took a chance, dusted themselves off and started over agin. God gives us a new chance in lives if we only ask for it and trust. We need to encourage others to have faith. Now that all the junk and bad business has been exposed , we can fix it and move forward. You can't however move forward if you don't take a step out of hiding! Be cautious, listening to your inter-self and take small steps , test the water like the flowers and animals do after a long winter, soon things will be better, but It will takes us all working together and loosing the fear . Spring forward to a new light. Lent and Easter could not be a more perfect time to make change!
What a wonderful day! It was 70 degrees and sunny all day and you can just feel spring in the air. New life, new things and hope! That is what we all need is a big dose of hope! Today at a meeting we were told that the market is starting to move in the upstate. My phone has began to ring again, and I have buyers coming in from FLA next week. Hopefully we can get off the economic slump and get back to business. But we must learn from our mistakes and change the way we do business. No more good old boy system, It is rare to get a second chance. So what are you willing to do different? We all fall short of expectations and GODS grace, but if we realize our mistakes and move forward in a positive and honest way things will get better! The golden rule really does apply in business as well as our personal lives! Day light saving time starts in a few weeks and soon signs of spring will come, now is a time for change, move forward in a positive way, and let the negative things stay behind. We really can spring forward if we will only try! We have to learn to trust again, and help each other.
I know times are tough, but if you make a appointment to show a listing please call if you are not going to show! One of my clients waited yet again 2 hours and a no show! Things come up, clients don't like the neighborhood and often you just run out of time, all these are acceptable reasons! However you need to call the listing agent so she can let the seller know. They have lives to, and they choose not to put a lock box on the door for a reason! Also I would love feedback, so I can tell my clients what you thought of the listing. It really might help them! The Golden Rule really does apply in business too! IF the price is out of range they might take it better from a potential buyer offering what they have compared it to. Times are hard and we can help each other if we just practice common curiosity! We are all in the same boat here, maybe helping each other would make life a little easier! As we rebuild our businesses we need to take a look at how we want to be seen by others. A Realtor who is to busy to make a quick call looks like they just don't care about others. We are often judged by others on first appearance, what happens if my seller tells others that this Realtor was rude, or they stood me up, word does get around!!!!
Yesterday I was in a hurry all day so I was really taken back when my son said that Roy my Uncle who died 9 years ago had a phone call. I answered and the guy would not shut up long enough to hear what I was trying to tell him. He said Mrs Stewart( of which I am not) your husband called yesterday and requested that we sign up for this health insurnace plan in place of Medicare. That got my intrest considering he has been dead 9 years! I said he called you yesterday? He said yes and I have all the information and I need your credit card number. I responded without thinking. I said he doesn't have a current card, and this is not his phone number, oh he says I need his correct number and new address. It came to me so fast I almost laughed telling him, I said ok the address where he resides is on 64 East not sure of the plot number and I really don't know the area code for heaven, maybe you should call directory assistant!! He still didn't get it, he insisted my uncle just called, I suggested he contact the funeral director and go to the cementary to talk to the dead and started laughing!!! I said you idot he has been dead 9 years and I have your number on the caller id and you just gave me your name 10 minutes ogo. He yelled and scream at me as I died laughing, still swering as I hung up!! That was so much fun, I laughed all day . But serious watch out for this , I found out that they are calling the elderly around the country with this, alert your grandparents and elderly friends not to fall for this! Never give out inportant information on the phone, and never agree to anything without checking it out. Believe me they have your phone numbers, and they try anything to get your id.
