Cookeville TN Spotlight: Algood Tennessee

Remember when....

Remember when back in the day you could step outside on your front porch and hear the birds chirping, the sounds of the neighborhood children playing on a hot summers day. Getting on your bicycle and riding up to the General Store to buy that ice cream cone! When the police man met you in the post office and patted you on the head calling your name and greeting you with a "Good Day to you". The air outside filled with warmth and peaceful winds. It seemed you hadn't a care in the world. The nostalgia of that old country town is in some way where most of us come from. Things we will never forget but have moved on into a much busier place in our lives. When I get lonely for that place, I like to visit Algood Tennessee. It reminds me so much of where I grew up. A small enough town that the old country charm still lingers with the remnants of the marketplace, the old diner that had the best old fashioned burgers ever, and the good ole country church bells that tolls every Sunday. As the times change around us, Algood seems to encumber new citizens everyday but still holds its nostalgic country charm. I thought I would share some photos of this little bit of paradise located just 5 minutes from Cookeville Tennessee. Come see Algood Tennessee!
