Jensen Beach franchisee Javi Utreras said a second location for Moe's is scheduled to open March 1 at 1769 N.W. St. Lucie West Blvd. next to Jetson T.V. & Appliance.

A year ago, Utreras moved from Atlanta after purchasing the 7-year old Moe's franchise location at 3980 Northwest Federal Hwy. in Jensen Beach. His partners Thiago Pereira and Ray Dhjangi also own four Atlanta locations where Utreras said he first operated Moe's restaurants.

"This is a great concept," he said. "People love it because the food is super and it's healthy,"

The affordable fast-casual restaurant serves freshly-made Mexican foods with quirky names including the Homewrecker Burrito and Fat Sam Fajitas.

Utreras said while he is banking or shopping, people see his Moe's shirt and stop him to talk. "I tell them I'm opening in St. Lucie West and they tell me 'I'm so glad you're going to be there.'"

Utreras said he also is planning to open a Moe's in Stuart by the end of 2012 or early next year followed by a location in Vero Beach. If those do well, he said he'll scout a location in Jupiter, adding more Treasure Coast restaurants until he has 10 in the area.

"We will grow at maybe one or two locations a year," Utreras said. "We want a strong team who can help us to do it right."

In 2007, Focus Brands bought Moe's from Rave Brands. All three companies are based in Atlanta. "Support from Focus is great and that allows us to expand," Utreras said.

There are 452 Moe's locations in the U.S., Utreras said, and Focus Brands wants to help franchisees expand to 850 total locations over the next three years.

Has anyone started using QR CODES yet and if yes, how are you finding creative ways to use them and how are they working for you?

I have multiple reader apps I have tried on my Iphone and only 1 or 2 do a great job of nearly instantly reading the codes and I just have a feeling the technology is just not quite there yet. Any input from anyone that has already started implementing these into your business would be appreciated.

I don't know about you but to a lifelong Dolphin fan, this could potentially be one of the most exciting sports stories in many many years.

Let's think about this for a few reasons...

1. Last year without a clear quarterback picture, the Dolphins managed to win half their games.

2. With Peyton, the Colts went 16-1 but without him, went 1-16 so he IS the DIFFERENCE.
