I went in yesterday to take a look. It looks good. Most of the same workers from King Kullen stayed on. I'm happy for that. They were a good group of workers.

Today I was delighted to speak at a local AARP

Today, January 11, 2012 I was very pleased with my presentation and the warm welcome I received at the local AARP meeting.

One of the recipients of my newsletter asked me if would be willing to speak at her local AARP chapter. She said she liked my homeowner tips I write about in my quarterly newsletter. I gladly accepted, and today there were over 130 people in attendance.

The folks were very much into the talk, home preventive maintenance and property Tax Exemptions, raising their hands and asking questions. I know I am saving more then a few seniors money next year on their New York City Property Taxes by the response I got.

Staten Island Bridge toll "Car pool discount"

For the Port Authority crossings, Outerbridge Crossing, Bayonne Bridge, Geothals, and Hudson River crossings, you can get a neat discount if you have 3 or more people in the car. Blow up dolls don't count. You need live adults. Great for commuters and even casual travelers.

Just go to EZ pass, 1 (800) 333-8655, press 9 for a live rep and sign up. You will need to have an EZ pass account, so have your account number ready.

The only down side is that you must go through the "full service" toll both, and if there is a long line, you may not think the wait is worth the $6 savings.
