Come today.
It's the best of times, it's the worst of times. It all depends on which side of the coin you look at. If you look at a coin, you know you have three sides. Right? An obverse, reverse, and an edge. Today's financial market is similar. If you lost money, you are on one side, if you made money, you are on another side, and if you're just holding steady, I guess you could say you're on the edge. Same for Real Estate.
Buyers are looking for great deals, with prices low and interest rates very low. Smart sellers are really not in a bad position because even though their home is worth less than say 2005, the next house will also be lower. So, unless you're selling and not going to buy another house soon, you are OK.
I have just witnessed a new serge in buyers (qualified buyers that is), coming out of the woodwork. Case in point. I have a new listing and in just the first 40 hours up on the MLS, we got over 150 hits. And in the first 80 hours, 243 hits on my Virtual Tour. see http://www.justsnooping.com/tours/2462374 Maybe it's just that this home is in perfect condition, or that it's clean and bright and airy. Or could it be that it's in a very nice, sleepy bedroom community with plenty of parking, both on the street and off. Maybe it's the schools or the parks nearby. http://www.mydeo.com/videorequest.asp?XID=11461&CID=222121 Or maybe it's all of the above. See for your self. I'm doing an open house, on Sunday 12 October 2008 from 12 noon to 3 P.M. Hope to see you then. 52 Pacific Ave. 10312

Check out this video clip of a beautiful recreation area, Great Kills Park. Part of the National Parks, this is known as Gateway Park, but to long time residents of Staten Island, it's just Great Kills Park. You can fly your radio controled airplane, come any sunny day when the wind is 15 miles an hour or less and see some pretty airplanes. Bring a lunch, sit on the bleachers, and watch then fly.
Or, if you have a small boat, you can launch it yourself at a special ramp. Have a big boat? That can be moored in the protected harbor.
Like to fish from a bulkhead? We have one of those also. Swim or wind sail? We have it all.
Click on this video clip and see for yourself.
