Happy Friday to all, thought that I would share some hints of spring from a warm Thursday afternoon here in Paulding County, Ga. This is one of my plum trees full of blooms and honey bees.
We have several of these and they are bound to be snow white for a couple of weeks. I have a few apples trees too and they are full of buds but still need a few weeks before blooming.
The very first hint of color here happens with these Daffodils. We have planted many here over the years and this is one of my favorites because they are a very low maintenance plant only needing to be thinned out every few years. This is fun because you have to replant the young ones somewhere or give them to a friend or client.
Our next project will be to install some rain barrels to be able to water the vegetable garden this year.
I hope these few flowers put a smile on your face. Have a great weekend!!

Use any talent that you have. It would be extremely quiet outside if the only birds that sang were the ones that sang best.

As we all eagerly await spring there are a few things to do in the garden. This is the time of year to prune back your Crepe Myrtle and Butterfly bushes as they grow flowers on "new wood". Remember to sharpen and clean your tools beforehand. Do not however prune Azaleas or Rhododendrons but wait till after they finish blooming.
Now is also a good time to start turning and amending your annual beds and turn your compost pile of leaves.
Blue birds are looking to move back in their nest boxes. The Robins are back in full force and Sandhill Cranes have been seen going back north. All bright promises of spring.
If you do not own a Garden call us, we can help you find one along with a home to go with it.
