The Carnegie Hall Film Series will return on April 12, 2010. Beginning at 7:00 pm this event will show the 2009 Spanish Film "Broken Embraces". The film producer was Pedro Almodavar and was nominated by for the 2010 Golden Globe Award. The film was also a big hit at Cannes Film Festival, which is the film makers fourth to be seen and choosen for the renound festival.
The film stars one of Hollwoods renound actress Penelope Cruz. Set in the 1900's the film is set on a four-way tales of love and danger. A set apart from from Almodavar love of black and white film, this film is in color. Cruze was nominated for the Satellite Award for best actress for her performance in the film.
Events this year are through a grant West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts. The program also has the approaval of the West Virginia Commission on the Arts. If you are lucky enought to make it out to the event there is no set fee for the event. Jim Justic announced this week that he is the new owner of the Glad Springs Resort, the Justic Family Group LLC. Mr. Justic is the owner of the Greenbrier Resort, which he purchased in May of 2009. He has aquired the Raleigh County resort and will continue to keep all the employees and staff. The resort is 4100 acres and located about 30 minutes form the Greenbrier Resort. The facility has 203 rooms, cottages, and villas. The facility offers over 15,000 sq. feet of meeting and event space, a total of three golf courses, spa, equestrian center, two pools one indoor and one outdoor. It also offers bowling, tennis, and fishing to name just a few.
Located just minutes from I-64 & I-77 interstates. The area offers many attractions for visitors, white water rafting, fishing, moutain biking just to name a few.

More Exciting announcements are coming from the Greenbrier Resort. The upcoming Greebrier Golf Classis has more to offer than just golf. The event will feature country artist Carrie Underwood & West Virginia born country entertainer Brad Paisley.
The concert will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010. The concert will be available to anyone who purchased a ground pass for the event. The event is just the lastest for the seven day event for the Greenbrier Classis. Mr. Justice, owner of the Greenbrier Resort stated their will be more announcements to come. In the second time in history the WVU basketball team is in the final four playoffs! If you are a dedicated fan and want to experience the fun and excitement of the playoff event. Wellspring of the Greenbier, Inc is a non-profit organization that assist the working poor, homeless, transient and other people living in poverty throughtout Greenbrier County. The staff and workers are volunteer agency with no paid staff. The organization was founded by Fred & Scarlett Kellerman, who started the effort out of their automobile. In 2006 they moved into the present location in Rupert, just across from the Rupert city hall. Since they have open their doors the facility and staff helps over 4,000 +/- people a year.
They offer a number of progams for 2009/2010 from adapot-a-family, Appliance and Pick-up delivery, Bread & Soup Express, Etc., just to name a few. If you are looking to donate or know of somone in need. Give them a call and see if they may be able to help.
