I will grow up BIG!!!!

All my life, I've wanted to be a real estate agent. I can remember when I was in the womb and hearing my mom and dad talk about Real Estate. I always tried to put my two cents in, but no one ever seemed to listen. My dad's phone is always ringing. I want my phone to start!!!

I decided that I wasn't going to wait until my August 1st, due date. I had to get out of the womb (what a boring place) and start my career in Real Estate.

My first house was a 3 foot by 2 foot incubator at Bellevue's Overlake Hospital. It was time spent there with all the other whining and crying babies that made me realize I needed to spread my wings a little and get the heck out of there. Now my dad says there are plenty of whining and crying babies in the Real Estate industry, so it won't be much of a stretch for me to make my mark here.

Currently I have moved on to a pretty spacious bassinet next to Mom and Dad's bed. Don't worry though, never having been one to settle, I am totally eying that big crib in the room that I get changed in. I figure I will be in there in no time.

What I'm good at

I guess you could say that I have limited experience. Although I am on to my second housing unit and feeling pretty confident that Mom and Dad have that crib in the changing room picked out for me, I've only been "on the outside" for about 3 weeks at the time of writing this.

In my three short weeks I have mastered a couple of things. The first one is sleeping. No one can sleep better than I can. Mom and Dad recently took me to dinner at Chuck's Seafood Grotto in Snohomish where this really bad singer was belting out crap at the top of his lungs. I didn't even flinch. I can sleep through Dad laughing his butt off at Seinfeld every night at 10. I can sleep through my mothers horrible driving. Heck, I can even sleep through getting my diaper changed.

The second thing I have pretty much mastered is eating. How tough can it be right? I'm being fed from a boob and a bottle. All I have to do is open my mouth, and viola, food. I know that there are some of you out there who are quite a bit more advanced and have actually moved onto solid foods. I see you, and I think I've got the gist of it. I just need some teeth.

Then there is my favorite thing to do at this stage of my life. Poop. Let me tell you, as a little guy, it's not easy. I spend a lot of my waking time trying to figure this whole pooping thing out. Well then, you might ask, "why is it your favorite thing to do, Kelan?" I'll bet you can't remember how satisfying it was to finally get that stuff to come out, can you. Right now it's really the only thing that makes me smile. I think this will change soon.
