It is hard to underestimate the value of the Mission Hills location.
If a location close to central Kansas City is not as important then some buyers in this price range may choose to drive farther South into Johnson County Ks to review the housing options in Overland Park. If you want to be close to the Country Club Plaza, Mission Hills could be your dream neighborhood.

In the last 16 months 4 homes at Wilshire South have sold and closed. Compared to the previous report, the sales trend is down. Tighter credit seems to have hurt the demand for first time buyers. The move up buyers, who are interested in living in Wilshire South, generally need to sell their current home and some of them are having a hard time doing that. The $8,000 homebuyer stimulus package is helping move the first time home buyer market, so it should eventually trickle up to Wilshire South and neighborhoods similar to it such as Somerset Brooke or Amesbury Lake.

Despite having lived in the Kansas City metro area in the past, we were surprised to see how much had changed when we decided to return in early 2005. One of our first major decisions, and quite possibly one of the most important, involved selecting Ken Jansen to represent us as we searched for a home. Throughout our very first conversation with Ken, my wife and I got the feeling that he was sincerely interested in working on our behalf and would listen intently even when we seemed to ramble senselessly.
