Stafford County is my home. This is where I grew up. I'm a 2nd generation home inspector & real esatate agent. I was the 3rd generation to build homes. I know houses. "Let Me Go To Bat For You."
Obviously, I'm a REALTOR® with RE/MAX. I live in the southern part of Stafford County. Stafford is my home. This is where I have grown up. I'm the son of a contractor. My father carried on the family tradition of building houses and owning/operating hardware stores. I grew up working in my father's two Ace Hardware stores and construction company. I literally learned about housing from the ground up.
In 1989, my father and I started a home inspection company together. My father has since past away, but the company has evolved and is still going. I've also been certified to perform Radon tests for over 10 years. I'm a home inspector, radon tech and a REALTOR®.
Oddly, I also have a computer programming background. After I graduated from North Stafford High School in 1983, I went to school to learn computers. I programmed PC's on government contracts with the DOC, DOD, EPA, HHS and other private companies in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area. I still keep my hands in computers doing graphics work and web page work with my church and for friends.
Not only did I start a home inspection business in 1989, but I married my wife, Christine. Christine is the Office Manager of our church. We have two children, Ian & Sydney. We are your typical busy family... sports, youth group, school, etc. I wouldn't have it any other way.
My hobbies include hiking, camping, the beach, photography, model rocketry, astronomy and NASCAR. I've been playing and coaching baseball in Stafford for over 30 years.
I have a life time experience in housing. I know houses inside and out. I know how they are put together and what makes them tick. I also know Virginia. I've seen it grow and grow and grow... I have the background to assist people in buying and selling homes in my home of Virginia.
Buying: I know the Stafford/Fredericksburg area. This is where I grew up. I know it's history. Again, with my home inspection experience, I recognize the quality & construction of homes.
Listing: I enjoy guiding home owners in getting their home ready to sell. With over 18 years experience as a home inspector, I know what it takes to get a house ready. Getting your house in it's best shape is very important with today's market.
