About Us:

Every day is an exciting day to work in real estate - and I am fortunate to be involved in a field that I enjoy and in which I can help people.

I was a math and science teacher as well as a school administrator for a number of years before making the change to real estate. Although I grew up in eastern Washington, my undergraduate degree is from the University of California, Berkeley where I studied Zoology. I have a minor in mathematics. I also hold a Masters degree in Public Administration with dual concentrations in Administrative Organization and Management and Urban, State and Federal Governance.

I love to learn and to teach, so I have a Washington State real estate license at the Broker's level and am certified to teach real estate classes in the State of Washington. I completed my Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation and now volunteer in the GRI program as a governor. I also have the ASP Realtor designation (Accredited Staging Professional), the EcoBroker certification which means that I have studied more about "green" homes and sustainable products, and I am e-certified, so I am quite up-to-date on technological matters and how to use technology to help get houses sold.

Outside of real estate, I am still learning! I am an active member of the Highline Branch of the American Association of University Women (the largest provider of scholarships for women), and I interview students each year for scholarships to the University of California. I am also a tutor and I belong to two book groups. I enjoy reading, writing, knitting, visiting with family and friends, cooking, and weeding (okay - I don't really love to weed - but it always needs to be done). I have a sense of humor, too!

I am on the Board of Directors for the Environmental Science Center located in Seahurst Park. The mission of the Environmental Science Center is to promote environmental stewardship, sustainability and academic achievement through science based environmental education. Serving South King County. We offer school-day programs, primarily for K-12 students, including classroom lessons and field trips, after school programs, summer camps, and community presentations. We are actively seeking more donations for our capital campaign and for operations - not a very sexy title, but a huge need to continue providing the programs to help students learn and to get them excited about science and the natural world.

I have helped many people in transition - first time buyers and last time sellers. Each sale or purchase can be very emotional and I believe in following the core values of Prudential: have a winning attitude, be customer focused, work in the spirit of exellence, be a person in integrity and have respect for all parties in a transaction.

I am licensed in the state of Washington. Generally, I focus my work in the south Seattle area - or greater Burien area. West Seattle through Des Moines, Burien through Tukwila. I have sold in the Kent-Covington area and sold and listed in Kirkland. I have made referrals to California, Florida, Colorado, and eastern Washington, so if there is an area I cannot easily get to, I will find an agent who is terrific to work with for you.
