Strawberry Festival - this weekend

Traditional to Burien is the Fathers Day Car Show along with the Strawberry Festival. The Car Show is a fun feature - over 200 cars from all over the area are shown - and it is on Sunday, the 20th. The Strawberry Festival is both Saturday and Sunday, and besides strawberry shortcake, you will find booths with interesting information - several about energy issues and one for the Environmental Science Center. This year the Strawberry Festival will take place at the new Town Center! And don't forget the Chili Cook-off!

The Environmental Science Center serves children in the South King County area, giving hands-on science lessons. They are working hard to complete their new building at Seahurst Park so they may offer more classes. The ESC is a 501(c) 3 organization, and donations of any size are always welcome - there are ongoing needs to keep these lessons going! Thank you - and yes, I am on the Board of Directors.

Ice Cream

This has nothing to do with real estate. Breyer's Triple Chocolate ice cream is THE BEST I have ever eaten. I'm certain it's not good for you, but it is good to you. If you like ice cream and you like chocolate, give this a try. This is totally unsolicited.
