The Buckman neighborhood zip code 97214 Portland, Oregon is named after the school board and city council member Cyrus Buckman and is bordered to the east by the Willamette River. It also borders The Kerns neighborhood, Abernathy and the Hawthorne District in Southeast Portland. Buckman has their own community association, a wonderful farmers market and Buckman Arts Magnet elementary school.

Colonel Summers Park is a lovely place to bring the family for a picnic, or play sports activities and even listen to live music festivals on the main stage. The Sellwood neighborhood has great restaurants, great schools, vintage jewerly and clothing shops and beautiful architectural style homes including Victorians, Cottages, English, and many gorgeous Craftsman Bungalows. Peaceful streets are lined with mature trees and local coffee shops. This is a great family neighborhood with alot of charm and community. Locally owned shops are everywhere and always supported. And of course my favorite...Saburo sushi bar and restaurant. Amazing!
