Wilmington, NC in Running for AIR FORCE ONE Museum

Local officials met today to endorse the possibility of the new Air Force One Museum being built in Wilmington, NC. Howie Franklin, a local resident, is on the board of the search committee. Mr. Franklin previously served all 5 previous presidents as their coordinator for all flights and details for each activity planned for Air Force One. Due to his experience Mr. Franklin was selected for this committee. Other locations, besides Wilmington are also being considered. The Wilmington location would be in an area near Kerr and Randall Parkway on a plot of land owned by the state DOT. Wilmington was chosen since it was the first state for air flight. The Wright brothers paved the way for this great opportunity. The museum will be built somewhere in NC. What a tourist coup for the winning city!!

Just spent the day at Kure Beach, NC Gorgeous Beach Day

Its a wonderful day at the beach. The sun was shining- it was 90 plus degrees. Families were enjoying the incredibly waves at this very gorgeous uncrowded section of beach in Kure Beach, NC on the Atlantic Ocean.

Kids were playing, surfing , building sand castles, folks of all kinds were relaxing and catching the surf.

Next to me a guy was fishing right off shore.

It was the perfect day.

You can also enjoy days like these at this set of beaches included on Pleasure Island, including Carolina Beach.

There are REAL ESTATE DEALS galore out there - 800 + houses on the market on the island alone, it is a definite buyers market.

My company Intracoastal Realty Corp, is #1 in market share and luxury home sales in the region. We have many homes to choose from and sellers are rather anxious having watched a large build up of inventory in 2005 with people grabbing profits and making most of the markets.

We have new homes for sale that

If you are contemplating our area these are things you should know - Carolina Beach was listed #4 by Money Magazine as best place to find a deal in real estate today. A big review of all our area beaches was written in the Washington Post last Sunday promoting our area.

You can find condos today with great beach views for under $ 300K and enjoy the kind of day I experienced today. Just delightful.

These condos can even be rented weekly or monthly. Just an idea.

I will talk more about Wilmington and the surrounding area - including the beaches and the things to do in my next blog. Thanks for checking in Kathy Knight
